Regardless of how you felt about it, Exodus is the most compelling formula for open world games going forwardd. We need to do away with needlessly large static worlds that are just filled with ubisoft fetch quest shit as a sad excuse for side content, and replace them with a series of maps that are basically expanded hub zones like the ones that can be found in games from franchises like Deus Ex or KOTOR. That way you can still have a sense of exploration, while also making sure that most of the content is handcrafted and meaningful, compared to "Outpost 11 out of 25 destroyed".

Someone compare this to the previous trailers to see if it was always like this. Metro definitely had political factions but it never felt so heavy handed and generic like this. It was more about the bleakness and confusion of the metro. I was hoping it'd lean more into the hopefulless of Exodus' good ending and have us trying to rebuild or something. At the very least I'm glad the dark ones are back.
