You should give it a try, and be patient. Could take a while to get really into it. But don't force yourself to like it. Maybe it could become your favorite game in the series. Maybe you'll hate it.
MISS MISS MISS is a bit of a meme, but the combat sure is different. Make sure to start with a decent amount of Agility (at the very fucking least 50) and use a weapon that is also your mayor skill. And keep your stamina high. It affects every roll.
What Morrowind has going for it is the strange and weird world, the freedom, fucking around with spells, cool equipment and layered armor and just an overall unique atmosphere and tone. It also doesn't baby the player as much as Skyrim.
