You guys got any recommended headphones/headsets/earphones?

I need to buy new ones and I heard these are good for CS2
>>
Steelseries Arctic 7 prob best headphones I've used.
>>
HD569
>>
>>737076039
Just buy IEMs if you want good sound quality for less money
There's a reason most CS players use them
>>
>>737076342
Which then
>>
>>737076039
Doesn't pic rel make you turn super gay?
>>
>>737076039
I used the original HyperX clouds from 2014 til they shit out on me in 2024. I was very satisfied with my purchase, enough to buy their replacement HyperX Cloud Alphas. These are just OK, but not bad enough to replace.
>>
I'm still using HD668B with a modmic, but they're not nearly as worth it with their price now.

I got the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 recently and they are pretty good. Battery life is long as fuck. Only complaint is the bass is kind of weak.
>>
>>737076039
Those are cheap chinese crap and typically the headband will break in a few months.

Don't buy cheap headphones marketed towards gamers and buy some decent headphones.
>>
>>737076342
Nta but is there no other form factor than headphones and earbuds? Both make for shitty contact wtih the body and absorb BO oils and shit in them. I miss when headphones wrapped around/on ears instead of clamping on them or going into the waxhole.
>>
>>737076039
560s gets you hifi tier audio if you live in quiet place, but if it must be gayming just buy whatever brand you used before

>>737076405
if you want something cheap check moondrop chu2 and truthear zero
>>
>>737076039
Fuck off
>>
i tried razer blackshark and it was uncomfortable and barely touching the volume knob would cut out the audio on one side
>>
>>737077203
what you probably want is openback headphones them, they don't feel like your ears are inside something, they block like 0 room sound

but iem can feel very comfortable if you just use smaller tips, but then you don't get full seal and lose bass
>>
>>737076039
Depends on budget.

If you have 350 bucks to spend:
-Beyerdynamic dt 770 Pro X ($220~)
-Antlion Wireless Modmic ($130~)

This is basically the best setup you can get. Removable cable, wireless detachable mic, 48 ohms so you dont need any DAC or anything, replaceable ear cuffs, and insane sound quality both input and output.

Only downside is this will literally turn you into an audiophile and any hyperx headset will sound like shit for the rest of your life.

I started with dt 770 80 ohms a ways back those are good but quieter without a DAC and I dont think there is a savings.

I swear by HyperX 2's, they are durable as fuck

Ntab audiophiles just live better, it's literally like someone who has 144+ fps vs 60fps nogs. It's just fucking amazing in comparison.

Are there headphones with good mic under 80$?, i don't care about the sound quality, i just want voicechat not disturbed by my loud ass fan
>>
>>737077751
Living better literally doesn't matter because humans can adapt and still enjoy less than perfect things just fine. The thing with fps is that it can handicap you vs people who have more, but with audio it's just.... it just sounds more detailed, you can still perform and enjoy media just fine.
>>
>>737077771
If your fans push through all the current AI filters the problem is fans not your mic.
>>
>>737077602
what about hyperx 3?
>>
>>737077751
Truth nuke.

Like yeah a Kia will get you where you need to go, but a BMW is more fun.
>>
>>737076039
If you're going to get a headset, get one of the Sennheiser / Epos Mixdrop ones, like the Sennheiser PC38x. It's literally just a pair of Sennheiser's headphones with an attached mic. Mic quality is great for gaming / voice chat.
>>
>>737077993
No, it's just some mic had Enviromental Noise Cancelling, i went through trial and error with that shit and i found those headphones had one if their mic dongle is packed and not simple as this
>>737076039
>>
>>737078625
The best mics don't have any "environmental noise cancelling" built in. Discord has Krisp and even ingame voice chats have similar features for a reason. If you have Nvidia you can use Nvidia broadcasts audio filter, it's the better ones.

My most recent pair of II's are still going strong but they look identical, i think its just a model upgrade so you shoud be good. I bought a pair on a whim after having a bad experience with some corsair ones about 12 years ago and i havnt looked back. Logitech are my goto company for mice and they make headphones in a similar price range, but they dont have as good a user rating it seems. Ive had a pretty solid experience with sennheiser's but i think they are a bit overpriced and hyped, they do have good sound quality tho.

What are some good openback headphones? Last I had were these and they broke after 5 years (literally broke)
I liked them but I couldn't hear footsteps in CS2 sometimes
>>
>>737076342
thats because they have to wear noise cancelling headphones over the IEMs that blast white noise when playing in tournament
>>
Are AKG headphones good?
>>
>>737076342
Any more IEM recs?
>>
>>737082396
They're so flimsy you better off buying chink shit.
>>
>>737076039
I've had two different pairs of HyperX and I think they're pretty good. Sadly, I liked their older discontinued model better than the current one though. But they do have good audio quality overall.
>>
Audeze Maxwells are kino but heavy. I usually run the Audio Technica ATH-R70X refine(regulars are fine just swap the earpads because they suck).
>>
>>737076039
I have one of those. Wired or wireless are both good.
The cushioning around the ears does degrade after a few years
>>
>>737086204
what mic do you use for them?
>>
>>737086373
I'm lazy and don't mind USB so I just got an Elgato Wave 3 on sale awhile back. Overkill for wanting a basic but good USB mic but it's nice.

moondrop space travel, looks like the asiimov skins hehe (for counter strike)

take the HD6XX pill and never worry about headphones again.

Headphone autist here. Don't buy gaming shit, most of it is terrible except for Maxwell and PC38X. I use LCD-X personally but >>737087192 this anon is right. If you don't want to bother with headphone autism just get 6XX and be done with it. Here are some decent models:
IEMs(good option if you're a poorfag or want sound isolation and wear glasses):
>Chu 2
>Truthear Gate
>Zero Red
open backs:
SHP9500 - good budget option
HD6XX/600 - the king of longevity, my pair is 10+ years old and still works perfectly
Sundara - beware of shitty QC
FiiO JT7 - see above
closed backs(need sound isolation at the expense of worse sound quality)
Maxwell - unironically a good headphone despite being wireless gaming sloppa
HD620s
Aeon RT/X - actually a great model despite being closed back but is a bit overpriced
If you can afford an OLED monitor then treat yourself and get good headphones/speakers too instead of gaming shit(which also causes cancer btw).

Are KZ EDC pro any good?
>>
>>737091342
As long as it's the pro version and not the regular KZ EDC, yeah it's good. Feels cheap as fuck but sounds pretty good, a well tuned model.
>>
>>737091548
Should I go with Chu2 or KZ EDC Pro
>>
>>737091661
I'd go with Chu 2 since the shell is higher quality. EDC uses kind of shitty feeling plastic for the most part and Chu 2 is fully metal. Both of them are tuned pretty well so not much of a difference there.

>>
>>737092050
That's Moondrop Chu 1, not 2, isn't it? Judging by the cable. I remember the 1st model as well as the Aria both had issues with chipping paint. I've never seen that happen with Chu 2. Granted, I don't use mine that often for any wear and tear to be visible but mine didn't start chipping unlike my Arias.
>>
>>737088006
What's wrong with Sundara? Also yeah my Philips lasted 5 years but I think the audio was weak
>>
>>737092956
>What's wrong with Sundara?
As far as the sound? Nothing. It's just that Hifiman has terrible QC so there's a good chance these will kick the bucket after ~2 years. I've had 2 different Hifiman models fail on me. It was always a dead driver and it always happened after a few months to a year. Your mileage may vary, obviously. I know some people have had their Hifiman models for many years and they work fine but this is pretty much the company with the worst track record when it comes to that sort of thing.

>open thread
>industry shills immediately with the Turlebeach, Razer, Steelseries, HyperX, chink trash that has a channel cut out in 5 years recs
get Beyer, Sennheiser German (Irish) made headphones or fuck off and get the Philips that's it
also don't fall for overpriced Audiophile trash Audeze, Mr Speakers, Chink Fi Man, (((AKG)))
