Which Nintendo franchise do you think is more popular, Star Fox or Fire Emblem?
It's obviously Fire Emblem and it's not even close. I don't think any zoomer ever played a Star Fox game, they only hype it because of le furry in Smash. On the other hand people played multiple Fire Emblem games starting from Awakening.

Fire Emblem since there has not been any Star Fox game on GBA that people would make fangames from. Plus people grew up emulating the classics so it has more visibility and nostalgia. You dont see people making fangames of Star Fox.

Shit peaked at FE7 and sales were lower and lower with every entry to the point Nintendo didn't even bother localizing 12, until Awakening suddenly had the opposite problem of Nintendo not producing enough copies to meet demand and culminated with Awakening's release crashing the eshop.Even now Nintendo is still notorious for underproducing copies of its RPGs not named Pokemon. Shit people were going feral trying to find Pokopia copies that first week.
