The design of it isn't bad per-se, but it was clearly created as a companion piece to go along with the gacha(EC), as both systems fundamentally require the same approach and mindset to combat.The difference though is, while that approach is freakin' obvious in the gacha, it's not so much in 7R. The way you have to play it, is extremely counter-intiuitive to the way it feels like it's supposed to be played when you pick it up.People who care enough to bother will plod through and "get it", but most casual players were only to get annoyed and put it away and call it a bad game, or worse never talk about it again at all.

The original xen sucked but at least it was short. The new xen is mediocre and drags on 3 times longer than it needs to while adding some of the most obnoxious msgv ripoff music on top of that. I understand why they wanted a tinal shift in the ost, but it just does not work.At least it looks nice, and there were some parts of BM I genuinely like such as the Questionable Ethics ambush.

I somewhat appreciate the original REmake but only because of the incredible use of prerendered backgrounds. Those kinds of soulful backgrounds are just not a thing anymore and I miss them badly. But even then, the game should have been another Resident Evil rather than a remake of the new one.Simply put, vidya remakes are slop in every single circumstance. Make something new rather than preying on nostalgia.
