They made the islands bigger, expanded them, removed Modern Day in its entirety so it's just the Edward side of the story, and hamfisted the RPG system into it. Chances are the ship combat is ruined by that if it's anything like Origins and Odyssey unless they heavily rebalanced it.

The screenshot I gave you even lists the main leaks (The leaks themselves coming from a Ubisoft employee). There's probably no RPG game dialogue choices, but combat is changed and damage will be calculated based off of your equipment's passives.
