I'm about to start this but I hate grinding
>>
>>737142838
Worst Xenoblade game.
Not only do you have to grind, you heavily have to backtrack based off rng gacha bullshit.
>>
>>737143609
Youre scaring me anon
>>
I haven't played a JRPG that requires grinding in almost 30 years.
>>
it's not grindy it's the opposite there's so much extra xp that they came up with this system where it's all stored as bonus xp that you can use at your will at the inn. you can choose to be wildly overleveled if you want and just use all of your bonus xp as soon as you get it.
>>
>>737142838
This

>>737144695
and this
>>
>>737142838
Nigga, you can't even use your final abilities and skills untill your 75% into the game. This is literally not a lie and is in every review OP. Have you done no research OP. Ignore this game. Literally any other xeno game is better.
>>
>>737144695
Try Octopath Traveler 1, didnt even finish that one
>>737146056
I played 1 remaster before and liked it but this one has big boobs which 3 and X don't have so I don't care about those
>>
>>737143609
This is like saying pokemon games need grinding and require rigging random encounters to beat, it's just blatantly not true.
It is the worse Blade game so at least you got that right.

dont believe this dude >>737143609
just playing through the game normally you dont need to grind at all, but the game does expect you to interact with all its systems so yeah actually look at all the weird types of items you can buy and equipment. also the game literally hands you exp you can use when you feel like to level up
>>737146056
I dont see how that's inherently a flaw
>>
>>737147660
>Try Octopath Traveler 1,
even with that the only time you might need to grind is the super secret boss. grinding just isnt really a thing anymore
>>
>>737148442
Bullshit it's hard as fuck
>>
>>737148528
like the whole game?
>>
>>737142838
Outside of X Xenoblade games are not really grindy as long as you don't just follow the fucking story like a noob, explore, fight the unique monsters and make intelligent use of the bonus exp system and you'll never have to grind.
>>
>>737147660
If you liked 1's plot 3 is closer to that, 2 is the weird turboanime offshoot that feels like a 60 hour beach episode.
>>
>>737149695
That sounds Kino, I will never buy 3 cause they have small boobs
>>
>>737149547
>you don't have to grind as long as you grind via side quests
Doesnt sound good
>>
What? I never once had to grind in Xeno 2
I even had to refuse the bonus xp stuff on my second run because it was too easy
The one thing I will say about Xenoblade 2 is that you have to spend far too much time managing things in menus
Its a shame because of how amazing the world is
>>
>>737144695
XBC1 was kinda grindy in acquiring some of the items for sidequests or colony 6.
There's also a weird spot where even if you've followed the story up to PNR and done all the sidequests you're underleveled for the post-game stuff.

Fuck XB2
>>
>>737150028
this is a hate thread anon people will just say things that arent true
>>

XB2 is grinding basically
Basically you'll grind for
>Core Crystals
>Money
>Aux thingy
>Items
>Affinity Points
It's weird because when all the systems are played and pushed, the game is actually pretty intese, strategic and fun. But getting is by far one of the weirdest trips. That said, technically speaking, most of the grind is only if you want to autist max stuff like getting all blades, doing all their quests, and doing the superbosses. Otherwise, the game is fine-ish if you stick to the main story.
But this is a game you play mostly while listening to something or tuning out.
Still think the game is neat and has a lot of charm, care and things to love. But i won't deny i'm turbo tsundere for it.
>>
>>737147660
OT1 was so easy I had to implement level caps with mods, and it was STILL too fucking easy.
>>
>>737149804
>playing the game is grinding now
Why am I not surprised that this is a post on /v/eddit?
>>
>>737151924
>But this is a game you play mostly while listening to something or tuning out.
i cannot agree with that at all
>>
>>737143609
It was so easy to overlevel in this game that enemies outright stopped attacking me after chapter 7, I climbed the world tree utterly unapposed
>>
There's 0 grinding but you need to understand the combat system which requires a PHD. Most people just overlevel to deal with it since it's too complicated
>>
Is Xenoblade 3 good? I finished XB1 on the Wii and XB2 back when the switch launched, im on an itch to replay the games but then i dont see anyone talking about XB3.
>>
>>737142838
just play it on easy?
>>
>>737157116
It's fine. It has its ups and downs like the other games.
>>
>>737156989
the update that let you level down and 'bank' the bonus XP when sleeping at inns was genuinely a gamechanger.
>>
>>737144589
did you not play 1?

Its regarded as one of the worst out of the series. Playing it right now for the first time and only on chapter 5 but so far doesn't feel as bad as everyone made it out to be and it just feels like a more serious XBC2-lite which I found sucked more. The plot and cast are as dry and boring as nails though, don't even get me started on the villains. As for the gameplay, its alright but has some crippling issues dealing with how its class system works that's based off your levels, forcing you to not want to over level or do any quests. So basically the same problem throughout the Xenoblade series but made worst in 3.

Also people say XBC3 has the best DLC side story out of the series and makes up for any fault XBC3 has. I'll probably tackle that once I'm finished with the game.

You haven't needed to grind in a JRPG since the 1980s.

Only people who are dogshit at them and need to lower the difficulty to journalist mode through excessive grinding say otherwise.
>>
>>737142838
You have to be doing something terribly wrong if you're grinding for anything in xenoblade aside from late game materials in X
>>
>>737142838
I don't really think it was that grindy. None of the Xenoblade games are really grindy, except for maybe some endgame sections in 1, but it's not that big of a deal.
>>
>>737143609
>Not only do you have to grind
Huh? When? Anything other than BoC doesn't require a strategy. You just suck dick at games and you're brown.
>>
>>737149804
I never did a single side quest because of how stupid the sidequest structure is in 2, I was still perfectly leveled for the final boss and even if I wasn't exploiting the orb system would be enough to take on him, fighting unique monsters and finding map locations aren't sidequests.
>>
>>737157116
Xenoblade 3 is fucking fantastic.
>>
>>737157665
Future redeemed is a perfect rpg. The level up system is resplendent. The campaign is engaging and tight. The combat is ridiculously fun if you play as Rex. It has some of the most fun areas in the series to explore. Great characters. Very satisfying ending. Better town than the base game city. It's the fucking works.

The only thing that comes close to a failing is despite xenoblade 3 being a great game on its own, if you're anything like me you'll wonder why future redeemed wasn't 3 and merely relegated to a dlc.
>>
>>737157116
It's alright, it's still xenoblade, but the final chapter had a weird direction. In other JRPGs this was the part where you revisit the world once again to tie up loose ends, preparing to fight the final boss, shit like that, except... they turned everything into optional quests so if you go by the main story progression the party immediately jumped to the final boss fight out of nowhere.
On top of that, the actual ending is divisive.
>>
>>737165931
2's ending is Divisive? I tought 3 was the divisive 1. 1 and 2 are pretty clear cut happy endings, if anything 2 is too self indulgent even without counting on 3's lore
>>
>>737165490
>why future redeemed wasn't 3
They probably don't have many ideas for adult Shulk and Rex.
Idk how to explain this. It's like how the first Boruto movie is amazing because it's cool to see the characters growing up and Naruto finally team up with Sasuke after years of dumb gay rivalry, but they tried to expand beyond fanservice appearance and it's just lame.
>>
>>737166048
The anon I'm replying to was asking about 3. I agree about 2, it's stupid for Rex to make a sacrifice only to have the two blades come back in a separate body. Either go through the death, or don't have the sacrifice scene in the first place.
>>
>>737166096
Holy shit they made a sequel to naruto? I loved that shit in middle school I used to watch fansubs off YouTube after school. Good times. I dropped it though after that Sasuke vs Naruto fight where Sasuke kicks Narutos ass and leaves. I'm not sticking around for 100 episodes of filler or however the fuck long it lasted.

I still think the best arc of the show was the water country one, the first one. Alot of shounens are like that where they start real strong but then putter out. Bleach was like that too it was best when it was a slice of life spirit detective shit once the power levels ramped up it quickly became boring.
