I just don't see the point in "young Bond".He's never been much of a character, it's not like anyone was going "Oh, I wonder what happened in his younger years?"He's just a great spy, using gadgets, fucking women, etc. We don't really gain anything from playing as young Bond, other than the knowledge that he definitely won't die during the game. It'd be much more interesting to play as another 00 agent, or if they made their own setting. But I guess it's all about brand recognition.

On it's own it's fine, even if doing a reboot two movies after a reboot is awkward. The problem was when SPECTRE insisted on connecting all Craig movies, meaning a hard timeline for these exist and Bond just had the most tiring career ever in between 2008 and 2012. Though i assume Quantum starts immediatly after Casino Royale so it might be 2006 to 2012.
