Ian and the executives went and saw Kung-Fu Panda then walked out of the theater with boners in their pants and said "That's it. We have our next expansion!" And proceeded to completely rip-off Kung Fu Panda, kek. I remember when the expansion came out and it got a lot of hate, but I liked it. Honestly the Panda starting area is super comfy just because it's a martial arts academy, and I liked the whole "being a student in training and growing stronger" schtick.

Mop still has some of my favorite class designs, it was the last time I really enjoyed pvp too, I remember logging in during the wod prepatch and realizing they removed most of my hunter abilities, it was so jarring to go from 10 buttons to around 6 and they removed a lot of class fantasy spells.

The first few patches had their share of issues but Isle of Thunder and Timeless Isle were unforgettable experiences that defined the game to me. LFR wasn’t so brain dead easy at the time so you could have fun watching shitters take 20 tries to kill Garalon. Siege is the best raid ever made.
