you don't need to reboot. just use dse patcher, it can turn DSE on and off without needing to reboot anything. just google it, plenty of places to download it from, it's been around for years. lot more convenient than the vbs method, you can put dse back on as soon as the game loads and no security issues even while playing.

I still have my old PC with a 16gb ram, 2070s and a 3700x. But I don't want to connect a 2nd PC just for gayming.

But I thought about using my main PC for gaymen, emulation, piracy and use my laptop for private stuff, emails, accounts, documents etc.

But fuck all that, I'm a coward I don't even pirate on Windows anymore. I switched to Gnu/Linux and run cracked games in a fake windows env, inside a bottles flatpak sandbox without admin or sudo. I'd only do the hypervisor crack on an airgapped device, but I'm too fucking lazy.
>>

it's either
>trust crack distributor to not put malware on your machine, as you have to have done anyway with any crack in history
OR
>trust denuvo (or any other major company that invests in new anticheat) to access your kernel

there's no debate here; people (tech-illiterate poorfag zoomers especially) are just dumb and over-inflate the effort and risk involved in anything to do with piracy. it's literally the "torrenting? bah, that's how you get viruses!" boomerspeak from the 00s all over again.
>>
>>737170857
It is though, since you can use it inside of a VM with passthrough, which has native performance and that makes it work even on linux.
>>
>>737190695
Truth is that the crack distributor is much more likely to put malware on your machine, compared to the essentially zero risk with major companies. The whole premise of your post is wrong.
>>

no one said the company would put malware, but if your kernel is so important and sacred to you, it makes little sense to make an exception there. there's no hypervisor crack that can't be inspected, vetted and confirmed safe (or any crack for that matter).
the entire premise is stupid, people especially in the present only get malware because they are stupid and uncareful. there is a reason huge sites like cs.rin.ru are trusted so much, anyone that would even think to try to inject something are blacklisted and it literally doesn't even happen in the first place. people get malware from fake fitgirl sites or by being morons and clicking blatantly fake DOWNLOAD NOW ads.

>bypass kernel level anti-cheat
no idea, but it's probably something for someone to try, or maybe they already do and that's where the idea came from.

>linux
Yes, but not on wine/proton, they don't support the calls for the bypass as of now. You need to use KVM/QEMU and do the bypass inside the VM. You'll get near native performance if you use a CPU/GPU passthrough like here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/comments/1s3bz8w/hypervisor_bypassed_games_are_able_to_run_on/
https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/comments/1rft2u1/has_anyone_successfully_run_hypervisor_cracks_eg/
https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/comments/1s1nqfc/report_on_crack_hypervisor_under_kvmqemu_gpu/

The same idea probably works if you use QEMU from windows if you want to run it safely. VMWare also supports passthrough, but I don't know if it would work with it. Virtualbox doesn't seem to support passthrough anymore, so performance on that would be dogshit.

This is technically something that will become true in a long ammount of time, but it overlooks a handful of things, if you know how this sorta software usually goes

1. There is no known/remarkable way to exploit that vulnerability yet, its really just a thing in theory. Patching things that 'might' be used to exploit it is usually faster than figuring out an exploit in something that hypothetically seems like an exploitable flaw. As of now, it is certainly perfectly safe
2. Even if there was an exploit, the nature of how hypervisor works requires you to spend a substantial ammount of time engineering the attack for EVERY SPECIFIC MOTHERBOARD MODEL. In a hypothetical even worse case scenario, it actually requires you to do it for every single individual motherboard, which just makes it completely impractical for attacking anyone.
3. Even if theres some complete hacker god who managed to figure it out this fast, or the hypervisor guys deliberately made a backdoor, theres zero reason to be concerned about them attacking you. Anyone capable of getting this knowledge automatically knows that targetting random PCs with it is basically worthless. A zero day like that can get you much, much more money by being given to a government agency: They will give you a large guaranteed sum with no legal risk, probably bigger. They will also probably offer you a very comfortable job, and then they will keep that technology in case they ever need it. And even then, its likely to get patched out anyway kek

At least right now and for the next few months, logically, being afraid of using hypervisor kind of makes no sense. The danger is so low that its practically even less realistic/reasonable than saying something like
>I dont eat chicken because im afraid of choking on a bone and dying
>I dont get into a car because im afraid of the chance of crashing and dying
>>

>I'm going to eat this raw chicken, unless you can show me hospital records of salmonella from after I eat this raw chicken
>no, I don't care to see records from OTHER people who ate raw chicken getting sick, those reports just have the words "eating raw chicken" in them, they're completely different

I honestly think you're brown, and don't understand pattern recognition. If you can't imagine how you would feel if you didn't eat breakfast this morning, I honestly don't think you're equipped for a conversation like this, Ranjesh

Yeah, it's fine. Don't be alarmed if 12gb of your RAM is tied up between 12pm and 8pm Moscow Standard Time. It's just a Special Military Operation.

the "pattern recognition" in question is that all events you listed of something actually happening are
>for servers of big companies
>guaranteed to hold valuable things
>practically against huge arrays of identical motherboards
which couldnt be more fundamentally opposed to the use of hypervisor for vidya

>how come the most public examples of malware are those that attack big companies with lots of valuable data?
well gee lemme think.
>uhh actually nobody will bother to exploit your PC because it's not worth it
kek imagine everything you own dangling at the whims of a Russian hacker so you can play cunnyslop

You've been told for weeks now, nobody is falling for your shit, stinky preet

I've just started buying Denuvo games on sale because I don't want to wait 3+ years for a crack (if it ever comes) and I don't want to fuck with Hypervisor. Does that make me a cvck?

>dangling at the continuous effort of a russian hacker so he can probably maybe hypothetically breach like three third world PCs with nothing in it instead of just selling it to a government agency
uh, yes actually

Is it secret?

You people understand that hypervisor is not a security feature, right? It is a component of Windows, one of the thousands of components that are just as vulnerable as this is.

>supporting practices that now exists solely to screw (You), the paying customer, out of performance
Yes it does.
