They're also all very powerful in their own right so if you suddenly change the gameplay to become discount doom, everything is just gonna die to you quickswapping and firing everything without huge balance changes, and why the fuck would you even bother having a main unit gun at that point.If you somehow manage to run out of all ammo and pickups in an encounter and find yourself plapping enemies slowly that's just a sign that you did not use your tools very effectively. I would not consider that a design failing or something that needs to be patched out. I hope you get your wish in the form of a mod but that will never be an update thing.

In my current build I have to be up close to the enemy, flying, hacking, and shooting them at the same time to get all my buffs at once, and it rapes. And second you can be very fast with a mouse but there is barely a speed difference from just tapping face buttons, in fact buttons may be quicker but I can't say for sure since that's really just a race between mouse sens and button mashing capability.
