Played this again and i realized it's a gigantic pile of shit. I'm ashamed to have recommended it a decade ago.
I've only played a few hours of each of the Witcher games and I'm honestly surprised they became popular.

>>737174615Its got a good story and it does some neat things with branching paths (even though I've never seen Ioverths path because I read the books first and dont like to fail rp) but the actual gameplay and combat is some of the worst shit I've ever played.Its not even downright bad, its just so mediocre that I'd almost rather Witcher 2 was a point and click adventure instead of an "action" game.

This was literally the first attempt at a game being a souls clone. The devs saw demons souls and like last minute overhauled the combat to be more like it. Its not good at all, but the one saving grace is the story is very interesting especially after beating the first game.Also, the game only gets easier the more you play because you get overpowered easy.

>>737174615I still love TW1. It's a flawed game, but I would replay it even today. I can't say the same for TW2 and TW3, except for TW3's DLCs. They are solid on their own.
Kinda wacky how the tutorial is the hardest section of the game by far.
