I watched someone play a couple levels, it seems like part way through development it was supposed to be more like an immersive sim. Very few of those elements still remain but you can DEFINITELY feel the level design and specific misson objectives felt like they were meant for more dynamic gameplay. Some things feel like you were able to stealth at some point, some things feel like there were alternate tracks that are now just dead end secrets. Not a bad thing, but you can feel that it isn't what the original plan was, and the fact shit's still in game means the change probably happened pretty recently, maybe mid 2025.

I think the IGN reviewer is getting really screwed and shows the maturity of most gamers even including MoistKritkal. (Charlie). IGN guy doesn't deserve to be fired imo. People who say Its A Cartoon are trying to dismiss a entire persons opinion about the game that come from their place of feeling bad while playing it. Isn't feeling of a game a valid critique? When people say its a cartoon do they mean that entering a building and viciously killing everyone inside over and over do they think it happened in the old movies and cartoons? No it didn't. They say Elmer Fudd did it, no he barely used his gun, when he did he shot it at a rabbit who never got hurt. They say what about Dick Tracy, explicitly, yes, gangsters got shot at but you never see guy get hit point blank with a shotgun and see gore. So the guy feels evil shooting animals that look like people, when he kills the opera singer just for being mad he blew up her opera house isn't that a valid point? I mean wouldn't a old cartoon say have you accidentally burn the opera house and save the opera singer? Why kill her? The way the characters are dressed makes them seem so normal too, its basically just mice in period clothing. Does the fact they are drawn just inherently make it okay that the game is making fun of lots of humanoid mice getting shot? It doesn't have too. The IGN reviewer has every right to critique from a view of a game being hollow or makes you feel bad to play. That is how any art would get critique such as A Clockwork Orange a movie some people flat out will never like because its rape and violence themes. Doesn't make the reviewers paid off AI bots or retarded. What makes the games industry stay stupid and losing money and studios are that we refuse to get out of the mass murder thing on gaming and it can't grow. Not that you can make a game of shooting hordes but why not make the hordes monsters or think of clever ways to defeat the baddies?
