I paid 60 dollars for Metaphor at launch. If they re-released it for $69 dollars with dating sim elements added, that let me wife Hulkenberg, and that's it, I'd buy it all over again day one (for 57 dollars from a key site).

Learning to accept death as a part of life, rather than fearing the unknown or trying to ignore it. Heck. Persona 3 does v’s story than CDPR
>>
>>737222014
you can thank the Swiss for that, Carl Jung is the only reason the Japanese could birth a work like Persona
>>
Holy shit
Persona mentally broke down an obsessed retard here.
>>
>>737222057
And yet the Japanese story is what elevates it
>>
>>737221289
nta, Keanu Reeves is excellent in 2077 and it's not really about a "gangbanger wannabe" even in a reductionist sense, V aspires from the beginning to be more than just a gangbanger. And I love Persona but its story and its portrayal and theming is just a juvenile Japanese and anime representation of basic Jungian themes. I love it but I don't kid myself.

Also this is literally just two sided meaningless shit flinging as evidenced by the back and forth between you two, neither willing to budge even a little. And as much as I hate anyone who uses the term "tranime" you're a massive faggot yourself for suggesting Edgerunners is better than 2077. Edgerunners is shallow emotionally manipulative trash that is God's gift in the honeymoon post-viewing phase and crumbles with any serious retrospective look or hindsight (very much a Trigger anime).
>>
>>737222014
And nobody cared when the remake came out lol. That game got forgotten so fast. Don't Fear the Reaper is still one of th4 best final endings in any video game. Meanwhile the only persona people remember is 5 and that's game'a story is literally adults bad like it's fucking kids next door.

I unironically love this movie like you wouldnt believe. One time watched it when my blue collar friends were over, got to the part where the guy gets his ass cleaned and shits in a pot. I'd seen it 10 times before so didn't care, they were a absolutely losing their minds.
Found out latter that scene was why Sir Paul McCartney of the Beetles backed out.
Anyways great film.
>>
>>737220205
I don't feel this at all. A good ending is always an uplifting experience, the satisfaction of reaching the conclusion to a worthwhile journey is always several times stronger than the surface level feeling of "good thing ended :("
>>
>>737221802
Honestly most of BoF3 was melancholy as fuck. Not just because of the game's events, but the setting itself was that the world had already ended, and now you're with the rest of the scrapings in the pot trying to put something back together again. Even the series' main villain seems resigned despite having finally won.

I was anticipating this game months before it released and only got to play like an hour and a half because I was on an alcohol bender and trying to stream at the time and my graphics card blew up, all at the same time. Then a week or two after release the mainstream streamers caught on and that faggot literal 96 IQ retard fencerider Asmongold spewed some bullshit about crying over it and the entire normalfag universe jumped on the bandwagon. To this day I still haven't played it because I have delusions about going streaming when I have the time and want to play E33 on stream. So I have like OCD mental blocks/hangups about saving it for my "future stream" formed from my brief stint of "trying" to become a streamer in which I streamed maybe 4 times a month and just got drunk the rest of the time without going live. Like I can't even force myself to play games in my free time now because it feels like a fucking waste if I'm not streaming them. And it's made worse because beyond just being completely baseless delusions, at one point I got raided and managed to keep 30 random viewers from an entirely different channel entertained for all of like 4 hours, I had practically no viewer falloff, and even got donations from strangers from an entirely different community. Which basically convinced me I'm not insane, and actually do have what it takes to create and keep an audience off my own entertainment potential, which only made things worse for me.

tl;dr I can't play E33, or any game I truly want to, because I have OCD delusions telling me that I *must* stream the game for the sake of my "streaming career" which doesn't exist yet.

I think it has to do with the fact that the game can be replayed multiple times for different endings.

>>737224037
I think it’s more to do with the fact it’s a one and done. Which is extremely impressive for an rpg. When I replay my favorite ones like at least 2-3 times a year if not more. I have no desire to ever touch BG3 again.

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt - Steelbook Collector's Edition

It was my first foray into the IP. I hadn't read any of the books, I knew nothing of the characters or the lore. I only knew what the game told me, as events unfolded. So I played the game as a dad, working with his wife Yen, to find their daughter Ciri. Ended the game with a continent at peace, a daughter coming home every Sunday for supper, a wife that spends the days at rest and research on our wine vineyard, and I enjoy retirement.

I haven't played a video game since.

I've never finished a Bethesda game in my life. The closest I came was Fallout New Vegas (yes I know it's not actually Bethesda) but it literally became *unplayable* with like 2 hours left in the main story because of the quicksave memory leak bug.
>>
>>737220205
I feel like I was subconsciously aware of this phenomenon growing up. In many games, especially RPGs, I would get to basically the final dungeon of the game or the final save point in front of the last boss, and just stop playing there.
The logic being that if I beat the game it was over, and if I didn't beat it I could pick it up again months later and feel obligated to play through it again from the start because I don't remember enough.

There had to be at least a dozen games I did this with, and many I played multiple times and still never beat.

Because it made me want to replay it and I did multiple times.
it's mechanics are good enough that even if you're bored of the story you still have a reason to replay it.

>beat the main game

Atri mogs the fuck out of 99.9% of western game stories. Western media in general. You don't have to like it, you just have to get on board.

Any owlcat game. They're so fucking enormous that each takes hundreds of hours/months to beat and during those months it feels like an actual life you're living and have deeper interactions with characters within the game than you do with people irl. Until you finally get to the ending and it just abruptly stops.

Huh. That is true isn't it? There's almost no winding down once you finish these games. At least not for the two pathfinder games since I only played those.
I guess the ending slides are supposed to be that, but I feel like we kind of needed more than that, something like a couple more hours of epilogue gameplay.

I was sad for months after finishing FFX. I didn't want to look at another game. Then I played Xenogears and was sad for months again. Now I always have this weird feeling knowing that there are no other games with the level of storytelling as those. I'm trying to play FF12 but the story is so boring and gay
