Because they're almost always designed with 0 gameplay and a fuck ton of padding. You should be able to beat a game at your own pace but the majority of ptw games soft lock you out of progress for an indeterminate amount of time just to entice you to pay so you don't have to wait any more.
p2w games are just to scammy now2009-11 DO was peak p2w, you could get any premium gear just by playing and once you did, there was no difference between paypigs and f2p players
