And even that was marred by the action coming to a screeching halt in the middle when they send you to fetch wounded soldiers, and at the end when they make you take a long and boring ride with some yapping faggot up to the beacon.But other than this barely-even-an-exception, holy shit are the missions dogshit. I feel a little of my soul draining out every time an objective guides me to an NPC, and they're standing next to a saddled horse. Anything involving the Greymanes that isn't just finding a couple new ones is dreadfully dull. Endless slow walk/ride & talk missions with nothing characters talking endlessly about the nothing plot. Those "bounce between 50 NPCs then answer several questions about the plot" missions can fuck right off. And can't forget those wonderful missions where research on something stalls until you do a pointless fetch quest! And I particularly love how the game will just not do things I should be able to do, because someone decided that THIS version ties into a quest somewhere - sure was glad that I powered through the insanely time-wasting mirror puzzle for that sun spire!

Now we have silver, equpiment, abysal cores and reputation. Big puzzles giving you 1 abyss core while finding a copypaste cave awards you with equipment feels a bit unjust.I would probably add an explorerers guild that give you some stuff and bonus for maping the world/choosed location and abyss items as a sky island rewards. I think any "reaserch" faction have the potential to build a system based on exploration, because 90% of players needs some sort of a carrot.

I think one thing PA should do what DMC let you ragdoll dead enemies until you drop your combo since the bodies are actually pretty handy for grapples and axiom shenanigans.

And btw the only way to reliably regen focus without food spamming is by focus parry/dodging, and so it's this reallt awkward keybinding you have to hit all the time. That's why I say rebind it to back paddle of a macro button, since you will be using it constantly.

Outside of that I just pick a direction and run/fly since the amount of fighting you do on bandit mobs to wherever you travel got me learning/experimenting with combos. Kinda over leveled for a few bosses in the main quest though, especially with unlocking elements (that's a whole other level of slog and ass pain though)
