they killed all my favorite franchises going as far back to the Wii. paper mario, chibi robo, animal crossing, donkey kong, zelda, kirby (kind of, there has been a couple of good spinoffs), and pokemon. these IPs have gotten substantially worse than the games I grew up with; their philosophy is too aligned with western corporate values now and I don’t think they care about their games being fun or even finished anymore.
