Lotr is too hard to make a game with unless you use the creative liberty zones like Angmar or Dunland etc that were never fleshed out.The Lone Lands (weather top to the ford of Bruinen) is literally empty except for ruins and scavengers of said ruins. Majority of the land around Rivendell falls in the same category. Unless you put little elf outposts and make up some scavenger groups for your ubisoft towers its going to be very very dry or not faithful to the setting.Hopefully they use the Lotro lore

When I think of lotr I think of long travel away from home. Open world games are very often not that since you just go everywhere left and right with such ease, you are always 5 minutes away from "home". There could be some openness but for the most part the traversal map should look like a wide corridor from point A to point B.Maybe hub areas like the older Borderlands games could make sense but even then you don't get the feeling of distancing yourself, its more like jumping around portals

As she says in the book, what she fears most is a cage. So she disguises herself as a man to go off to war with the rest, preferring to die in battle with the rest of her lineage than be bound to preside over a kingdom that will be surely destroyed. Both of these characters are what "strong women" should be - women who have faced the trials necessary to teach them strength. Too bad modern writers can only understand girl boss characters.
