I spent years and years gaming on PC while simultaneously becoming less interested in keeping it up to date to run the latest games. I hated becoming super critical of performance, obsessing over the best settings, then finding reasons to be dissatisfied with it. Spent maybe 5 years or so away and decided to get a console to remedy what I mentioned above. So I grabbed a PS5 pro and just accept what a game looks and performs like on it. Cutting the autistic performance obsession out of the picture helped me enjoy playing games more again rather than just thinking about it.
