What are the five scariest games you have played? I'm talking about games that induced actual dread / fear in you. For example, I love Silent Hill and Manhunt due to their melancholia, urban environments, decay, art direction etc but I don't find them scary enough to get on the list.Here's my ranking:1. System Shock 2 - the entire opening section was extremely traumatic to get through from some reason, I remember having visceral fear of infected wielding shotguns.2. STALKER - amazing setpieces, controller one is probably the height of video game horror3. Quake - mostly the dark brutalism, the fact that I was quite young when I played it, the traps and the Shambler pit4. Forbidden Siren - actually much scarier than Silent Hill due to it being a bit unwieldy and you always feel actually hunted, instead of just running past enemies5. Dark Souls - mainly due to sewers section and the constant feeling of anticipation the game produced up until Anor Londo, best example of push your luck in any medium
