As an '02 zoomer here today. GenZ will never create anything new, exceptional, or novel without freeing themselves from the confines of their digital hell be it social media or video games, etc. The only Zoomers who will create art and great art at that will be the ones who heavily regulated or removed their tech use only focusing on bare essentials who go on to be prosperous. Even more so if they managed to live with boredom like a mother, always nagging and pushing you to do things. This is not a luddite position but a fact of human growth as real life is inherently boring and selection built humanity around a low stimulating environment. GenZ will cope because it's truly a horrific thing that most of your life including your seminal growth moments were taken from you by a faceless corporation, but you are not alone. And it's still early for you to start.

This a bigger phenomena if they have older brothers and sisters that have played those kinds of games themselves in their adolescense. Having that influence makes them want and crave for the things that their older brother does/plays, so it'd make sense for them to have played PSX, PS2, DS and Wii even in their childhood. I'm a single kid that was born in the early 2000s with gamer cousins that were a little older than me, and played MMOs like MU and Fate all the time - And that was pretty influential to me, I loved hanging around watching or playing a little myself, though I was pretty new and young and barely got time to have a grasp for the mechanics. Then they started owning PS2s, so I owned one as well. Later on I switched to Xbox due to instances of life.
