Lots of situations where enemies just keep spawning but without adequate pressure.
That god awful temperature mechanic in the moon episode.
Sirius was the only good episode but you have to slog through the rest of the game to get there.

I played Serious Sam games back when they released when I was a kid. I don't remember why exactly, but I distinctly remember being disappointed by something in SS2 so much that I didn't give it a try. I just thought "damn that's lame and sucks, I don't wanna play it" and now I have no recollection of what it was.

>follow up to the console version of the Encounter games but didn't carry over some of the more interesting mechanics like the combo system

>awfully feeling weapons, balance and broken functionality - the uzis and minigun basically use up ammo at the same speed and the shotguns were the strongest weapons in the original release due to insane range and an issue where you could cancel reloading by switching weapons, resulting in a constant stream of shells by just switching between them
>you don't get your full arsenal until the very end and weapons like the grenade launcher are barely in it
>(immortal) NPCs just don't belong into the series - if 2 didn't hammer it home then 4 and SM did
>vehicles were overpowered
>tons of enemy types but a lot were just reskins like the kung-fu demons basically being just Kleers and the clowns shitty kamikazes

These two especially suck because once you finally start reaching the big arena fights, there is always a """secret""" shortly before it containing a vehicle that trivializes the whole segment.
