I bought a used PS2 a while back in order to hack it, install a hard drive and test some stuff. Once I had it up and running I figured I might actually try playing something more authentically than emulation, unfortunately I came to the conclusion that the console is useless without either a CRT or maybe one of those $500 retro converters. The cheap HDMI converters on eBay look so unbelievably bad.
