A lot of uni courses are basically forcing you to use AI know because it is expected in the workplace
>>
>Gen AI experience
You need experience on how to type instructions to a robot?
>>
What's so difficult about using a fucking AI? Like...literally, who the FUCK doesn't know how to use an AI, you just fucking tell it what to do? The actual fuck?
>>
>>737323051
Wow, they're seeking game devs with experience using game development tools?!
>>
>>737323452
Just like all skills, it takes practice to become proficient with it.
>>
Why is Ubisoft so comically stupid and incompetent? Is it because they're French?
>>
>>737323092
Ubisoft is like Timmy Tencent, always assume the opposite of what they're doing is the correct choice.

what is the role for the second example?
>you like video games
>you have used AI

this might come as a surprise for you but the quality of AI output is very much dependent on the quality of your own input.

lmao

They are just filtering out all the luddites who cry about AI taking their jobs instead of exploring how a new tool can benefit them.

You can try.

No it's just dependent on the data it copies. If you ask AI a question that has never been answered, or it just doesn't have it in its bank, then there are 0% chance it can answer.

Most game companies, particularly big ones, list a bunch of useless soft skills at the bottom of the qualifications page. It's all HR slop that no one, even in the hiring process, pays attention to. Not that any of that matters with Ubisoft because the first half of the interview process is entirely AI automated anyways.
>>
The ai bubble pops. The game industry collapses. Everyone will lose their job.
Thanks for your attention on this matter.

>>
>>737328741
That's the worst part, you have to deal with AI to get hired, so it's completely random or biased toward certain words instead of biased toward competence. Another race to the bottom.

So what happens when everyone becomes dependent on these locked down, cloud subscription models? They can just raise their prices until you're a slave. The minute you outsource your thinking and creation abilities, you're cattle.

Generative AI is bad for the same reason adobe cloud is bad. They can take it away at any given moment.

this is a tech art position, which is one of the main jobs in game development that could absolutely be replaced/enhanced with AI code because tech artists barely know programming in the first place. 95% of what they make is hodgepodge copy/paste stuff from online, and most of the stuff they do is converting data from one format to another, something AI is actually pretty good at. there's no engineering design to anything they're making.
>>
>>737329110

>>
>>737329313
This is a solution only until they price you out of hardware. GPUs rarely last more than 10 years, and that's being generous.

You can always cobble together some scrap from the landfill to make something to program, draw, and game stuff on a 2005-era level of technology, but any AI generation would be strictly off limits.

>>
>>737330892
It doesn't understand what you are saying retardo.
How does it copies what? By using weights and values associated to the values it was inputted and guessing the next from that algorithm compared to its databanks. LLMs cannot be trained on their own outputs, the output must be human-made.

You are an investor kek!

Yeah and to this day I still do not know EFTs or 3D TVs.

They compare it to the steam engine, without even know what the steam engine does, converting solid fuel like coal into mechanical energy, allowing trains, which is a huge investment but completely changes travel of people and merchandises.
Datacenters use massive amount of memory, destroying the RAM and memory market, then use massive amount of electricity and then even more for cooling and what does it allow that wasn't possible before? The conversion of text into copies of other texts? I fail to see the revolution. Torrent packets was more of a revolution than this. AI is the result of our usurious sinner culture which mistake the sterile for the fertile, we can't make new technology, we can't make art, we can't make children but we can make financial products which is nothing real, it's not actual creation.
>>
>>737332574

AIjeets weren't good enough to be artists and you expect them to have an imagination?
>>
>>737329110
That's pretty much exactly what my company is pondering now. We mostly predict that as time passes, a few winners will emerge that have a decently affordable subscription for us to continue using Claude code or whatever it is. I doubt businesses will do everything locally in the long run.
>>
>>737332419
incredible, a 2D vampire survivors clone the likes of which there are dozens or hundreds on github from which the model was likely trained on, truly a groundbreaking result

No my man, nothing "A.I." created will come close to anything ground breaking when it comes to technological advancements. Its just a propaganda device made to deceive, that produce even more false narratives at the expense using the gullibility of the public. There is nothing ground breaking about this besides its ability to pump out nonsense at a rapid and rabid pace. Artificial Intelligence is just that, Artificial aka fake aka Anti-Tech.

AI it still can't pick apples or milk cows. It still can't clean hospitals, mow your lawn or chopping meat in Tyson Foods.

Tons of successful games are derivative. Plus if you actually have coding or art skills this can massively speed up the entire process of creating a game and iterating on ideas.

jesus, you really are a child aren't you?
I guess coding, summarizing and whatever convenience that's related to text doesn't exist because grok said something wrong on Twitter.
>>
>>737333561
"Creating"? That's precisely what I pointed was wrong here, it's not creation, it's copying, that game existed before, 500 of them did. Therefore, nothing new was created, we got nothing out of this.

This why the financial sector is like the homosexual lifestyle, it does not create, it thinks it does though, but in fact it's barren, sterile. You know what is fertile? Sex. Mate two apple trees together and you get apples, actual creation. You do not know what creation means probably because we are a homosexual.

>>737333694
