I literally just finished this game a few hours ago. Better than SM1, combat wise. The entire Peter as Venom section was very fun. They improved the combat where they could, enemies counter your usual tricks. I absolutely loathe how many OTHERWORLDs there are. Li, Venom, Mysterio, Sandman. I was really disappointed when the Venomites showed up. They're slightly different and decent challenge, but it's still just mashing X. Also, Kraven being hunter archtype but leaves everything to his retarded henchmen, who number in the thousands it feels. Boss fights were hit and miss, but overall and improvement. They did Venom as best they could in a game where it seems like no one is allowed to kill. Story was fine. You could speed through MJ sections. Miles was fine. Like I said, entire Venom section was the highlight. And yes, MJ was massively downgraded. She was really cute in first game. Just stick with that, jesus. You put so much fucking effort into models and characters and writing, then just change their look altogether.
