Prove me wrong
>>
I don't see the correlation, Ms Pacman got removed due to copyright issues. Boring female characters are the result of feminism.

Removed from what?

The timing was too much to be coincidental. Like all the planets aligning. Anita Sarkeesian also tried to paint Ms. Pac-Man as “problematic” for being “Ms. Male Character”.
>>
but if we keep having damsel in distress trope on all games until today, will you get tired of it?

The ironic thing is Ms. Pac-Man was literally a feminist icon, her whole creation and her naming scheme was made out of fears of “Pac-Woman” and “Miss Pac-Man” being politically incorrect. She was even the mascot for breast cancer awareness.

First it was overusing girls as plot devices, now it’s all about generic girlbosses. Princess Peach was flanderized both ways.

The Mario movies are written by western writers and animated by a western studio.

because modern writers are stuck between wanting to make a compelling story with compelling characters and flooding their game to the gills with tropes
personally? I prefer the 80s-90s anime type of girlboss

She's being erased from rereleases of old Pac-Man games Soviet style and replaced with "Pac-Mom" since the rights to the real Ms. Pac-Man are in copyright limbo.

Dude, feminists were seething about "gender signifiers" such as red or pink bows or rouge, which are now proudly worn by trannies all over in their larp as women. You're not right, you're profoundly, irrefutably right. Feminism/Trannyism's first battle won was destroying gender signifiers for being "sexist" and "objectifying women as prizes". Feminism is the first tranny movement by stealth because it turned women into a mutated, weaker and ineffective version of males by destroying the gendered look(a relic of the gender role society) which was reconstructed as the tranny movement when AGP sexual deviants took it over.

>Ms. Pac-Man was literally a feminist icon
Feminists directly went against Ms Pacman because she was linked to Pacman instead of being "her own", similar to how feminists today use the term "partner" instead of "husband", because they hate being linked to men or being referred to as being a man's wife. That's why they don't take their husband's name too. Ms Pacman was hated by feminists because the character was referred to by Pacman's name.

Ugly ass design and name. How did Bamco fuck up this bad when they are a multi-billion dollar corporation who could solve this in an instant by just shelving out money?

AtGames doesn't deserve a cent. Fuck them.

>Feminists directly went against Ms Pacman because
I think something went over your head. For you, feminist = anti-man
In >>737348351, feminist = pro-woman, i.e. breast cancer awareness = women longevity
>>
>>737353285
This has gone on for over a decade even before they got involved. I just say shelve out the money and be done with it. But no, fans have to suffer. Bamco are just as, if not just as guilty as ATGames.

Corporate suits are fucking idiots. Especially when ATG can’t even use Ms. Pac-Man on their own since she’s directly tied to Namco’s property. They bought royalty rights thinking it was copyright like a bunch of dumb retards.
>>
>>737353374
They didn't buy them intending to make original Ms. Pac-Man games. They bought them to try and swindle money out of Namco. The whole crux of the situation is that Namco isn't playing into their scheme. "Buy out of the royalty contract" was the plan when it was still owned by GCC.
>>
>>737353620
They manufactured a prototype minicab meant for mass production which is what led to the lawsuit. ATGames bought the royalty rights thinking it gave them permission to make their own shitty plug & plays and shit.

>modern female characters are boring
Completely disagree. Most old female characters were flat characters with zero depth to them, which is ideal for arcade games with a <20 minute runtime but bad for games with a 2+ hr narrative. Modern games are an objective improvement for being fleshing out women, games like Pragmata prove this.

How is this still not copyright infringment? I don't think I can take the McDonald's M, make it red, and not get sued when I try and start a burger chain.
>>
>>737354968
We could have had both. I know bringing up Alien/s (or, in gaming's case, Metroid) was cliche but Anita S. and her followers were acting like literally every video game female character was just Princess Peach (and ignoring her playable roles) before 2015.
>>
>>737359206
Or maybe the issue is that you can only refer to one or two counter-examples from the 80s
