Yeah, Motoi Sakuraba has had his hands on a lot of shit, mainly JRPGs; for example he's the primary composer on all the Tales and Star Ocean games. He was a composer on Dark Souls too, funny enough.

man FF8 Disc 1 had some great set pieces. the dollet invasion, timber train quest and the Deling city mission were all pretty sweet. Even the Garden War later was pretty cool, shame the plot and mechanics were kind of buns.
