>remaster destroys the original mood
why do they keep doing this?
>>
>>737364048
Because they just apply UE5 built in features instead of trying to bring forward the artistic intent of the old game.
>>

>Remaster objectively improved the game
NOOOOO YOU CANT DO THAT MY HECKIN NOSTALGIARINOI THE GAME WAS BETTER BEFORE
>>
>>737364115
If they only use stock options why do they take 8 years to make a game?
>>
>>737364183
what was improved, explain it
>>
I don't know what game it is but the remaster obviously looks million times better.
>>
>>737364129
They do it to hide the awful shadow ghosting and artifacting on distant objects. We are literally back to PS1/PS2 fog era for performance reasons.
>>
>>737364048
I really truly believe you fags just dont like when things change.
>>
>>737364290
>esl doesn't know what a mood is
>>
>>737364245
>uhhh they added more stuff therefore it better!
>>
>>737364292
>We are literally back to PS1/PS2 fog era for performance reasons.
No we aren't. PS1/2 fog actually improved performance, UE5 fog actually kills performance, and disabling it increases FPS.

Is Talos Principle 2 ever going to get challenging? These puzzles are fucking babby tier
OOOH YOU USED A BOX TO CONNECT LASERS ON TOP OF EACH OTHER BRAVO YOU CLEVER BOY NOW SIT DOWN AND LISTEN TO THESE FAGBOTS TALK ABOUT FUCKING NOTHING
>>
>>737364450
I get your point but that isn't exactly what he meant
His point was more like "we're back to putting gas in your screen to hide whatever the game is loading 30 meters away from you" as if it's 2004 again
>>
>>737364245
They improved the lighting. It looks much better
>>
>>737364595
It's easy all the way through, all the challenging puzzles are in DLC 1 & 3
>>737364756
even you don't believe that
>>
>>737364048
So are we getting Talos 3 or not?
>>
Its going to keep happening, just don't play the remaster. You making threads about this is like getting upset and yelling at other bad drivers every time you drive your car. You just look silly at some point.

I'm gonna install a bell you can press instead when you feel upset.

>>737364048
Whats that serious sam?
>>
>>737365463
talos principle. same devs and engine (for the original)
>>
>>737365535
Oh never heard of the game, but no wonder it felt familiar.

>Talos 3
le monkey paw.
Do you really want it to be in the same style as that upcoming abominable serious sam multiverse?
>>
>>737365626
Basically they reused assets from serious sam 3 and made a puzzle game with it and it worked well enough for them.
>>
>>737364048
I cannot fathom how anyone can prefer the overpowering white bloom in the remaster shots here.
>>
>>737364048
because artlets think more = better

/v/iggas gonna tell me this looks good
>>
>>737366473
better than the remaster which just looks like someone farted all over the place and wiped vaseline on the screen
>>

>nigga never seen sunlight
>>
>>737364048
>lets add anti-soulgas and crysis trees
LMAO
>>
>>737364048
The first one is egregious. You ever see a picture of temple ruins in broad daylight? It looks the original. Why is the lighting so fucked up in the remaster?
>>
>>737364048
I'm tired of volumetric fog/lighting being used like this
>>
>>737364048
The best thing is that in Talos 1 Remastered's case it not only destroys the mood but also the in-game lore in the process.
>>
>>737364048
Ahahahah what the fuck, it looks like they just ported the oblivion remake into it
The absolute state

i will never buy a 'realistic' game. it's a medium that flourishes on fiction, and yet all these tranny devs keep trying to make it look like real life.

>play a realistic game to escape real life
are they retarded

Are people seriously unable to suspend disbelief of LOD meshes popping in that they need Shanghai level smog to cover everything past 200m?
>>

>>

It does, you just never seen it
>>
>>737370214
Seriously I have never seen such fog here in central europe unless ultra specific rare requirements are met, yet every fucking game has this as a default.
>>
>>737370428
The "lol,India" shit isn't even a joke.
Take a wild guess why all those AI toon images also have that yellow piss-filter on them.
>>
>>737370324
Looking at the sky as I type this, zero clouds, blue and clear.
>>
>>737368332
gotta justify the switch to unreal engine 5 by using all its graphic features
>>
>>737368840
we have to go back
>>
>>737364048
>decades old inhouse engine gets replaced by unreal
I'm not sure if this should makes me as sad as it does
>>
>>737372198
It feels like Croteam let go of a large part of themselves and their identity together with their engine.
Developing and maintaining that thing all by themselves always had a certain "Look, we can punch FAR above our weight on a shoestring budget - you could, too!" feeling to it that I always appreciated.
It was theirs and it and Sam were what put them in the international spotlight.
Now they're just another one of countless UE-slaves and it just depresses and worries me how many studios drop their in-house engine for that shit like Flying Wild Hog, CD Project or The Artist Formely Known As Piranha Bytes.
Hell, you don't even need all this realism and cutting edge shit, anyway - say what you want about Elden Ring but people sure as hell didn't love its visuals due to some FSRTXWTFBBQ 5.0 junk and that thing ran on an engine that honestly was already jank garbage when it was conceived over ten years ago.
Serious Sam games don't need full-blown realism, either, and fuck, people probably wouldn't even mind if they went back to Serious Engine ONE and dolled that one up to ridiculous levels like Voidpoint did with Ion Fury and the Build engine.
>>
>>737373358
You can add Traveller's tales to that list too with them swapping to UE5 for the new batman
>>
>>737375280
And Deck 13, too, apparently.
>>
>>737364048
I'm really getting tired of UE5slop anons
