i literally never understood shmup autism. I dont get why the japs love it so much, i dont get why weebs love it so much. It's just not fun to me. It feels like Guitar Hero.

Its the same game every time so basically its for autists who get gratification for remembering minute patterns like Guitar Hero and rhythm games. Closest i come to that is pistol starting doom maps on UV. But at least like you have to improvise and adjust to RNG happening and remember a whole 3d ass level

Also I would like no rogue style content and no meta progression. Tempting to also say "no level ups" but there are a few good examples for that.
