Have you ever played a game series in a fucked up order?

I played Crisis Core on PSP, then 15 years later I played Final Fantasy 7 (PS1) on my switch, then I played FF7 Remake on PS5. I think Cloud is gay and lame and Zack Fair is one of the best characters in video game history.

I played Halo 2, then some of 1, then 3.
>>
P4AU was my first persona game and how I learned adachi was the killer

All the time man. That's pretty much standard and normal, only internet people will pretend otherwise
>>
I played Metal Gear in chonological order when I was a stupid teenager that trusted redditors
>>

My first smt was 4, then i played nocturne, then 2, then if, then 1, then 5

Explain...

This is normal especially for series with a gorillion entries across multiple generations.
You think the average 7 fan played 1-6?

Bow wow wow yippy yo yippy yay, doggy dogg's in the motherfuckin' house
>>
>>737391503
I played DmC DE, 4SE, then 3, 1, 2. This was years before 5 was announced.
>>737392071
P4A was my first and Ultimax was my second. I didn't play a mainline Persona game until 5 came out.

the average people jumping into yugioh or digimon or pokemon have no clue what the fuck is going on anymore.

played civ 7 then 5 then 6 then 4
so far my biggest gripe is that the worst part of every game is the leader system
all of them suck
always
also nation exclusive units/wonders are always underwhelming
7 is the worst but the rest are a coin flip
nations should overall up until the future age should be noticeably different from each other but they never are.
which is really boring
naval combat is always kino
ground combat is based retardation
air combat is always lame.
thats all i got

Final Fantasy
>played OG FF7 first
>played XII because I had it on PS2
>then played FF IV, V, VI on emulator
>then finally went and played the rest
>still haven't played Tactics, 11, 14, 16 or any of the spin offs
Yakuza
>started 0 and never finished it
>started LAD, Ishin, Kiwami, Judgement, and The Man Who Erased His Name
>never beat any of them
>end up finally beating LAD and 100%'d during spring of 2025
>restarted 0 but still haven't finished it
>started Infinite Wealth but only played the first hour or so
I also bought all the other Yakuza games except for 6 but I haven't touched any of them yet
Resident Evil
>play Director's Cut as a kid on PS1 (mostly playing my older brother's save file)
>beat RE2, beat RE3
>never owned or played RE4
>played the absolute fuck out of RE5 and is easily my most played/liked RE game
>went back and played CV/0 although I don't remember beating 0
>years later buy all the RE games on sale on PS4/PS5
>have OG RE4, REMAKE 2, REMAKE 3, RE6, Rev1, Rev2, Resistance, RE8
I just started playing the first Remake as I don't ever recall beating this game but I've seen so many playthroughs of it. The goal is to play through the entire series but ehh I kinda like watching people play RE more than I actually enjoy playing it.

I kinda want to add Persona and Tropico to that list but really I just played P5 and Tropico 5 that's it. I played all the Persona 5 spin offs but they were shit and I hated them. I've played Tropico 6 as well but didn't like it anywhere close to as much as I liked 5. I kinda want to go back and play the older games because I hear so many people say the older games were much better, mainly 2 and 3. Also I played Tropico 5 on console which probably makes it weirder...I do want to play it on PC to see if that changes anything.

I also forgot that I did start RE6 but barely even played it. I think I got to like Chapter 2 or Chapter 3 or whatever chapter it is when you escape the college/university and then I stopped playing. Ended up doing gameshare with my friend from the UK and playing it co-op but we only played once and he kinda fucked off to play other shit so never did get around to finishing it. I probably would have by now if it had online co-op like RE5 did.

Fallout 3, New Vegas, Fallout 2, Fallout 1, Fallout 4 then I skipped 76 because a Fallout mmo is heresy

I'm similar with FF7.
>first saw Cloud in FFT
>played Dissidia 012
>played World of Final Fantasy
>played Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, and BBS
>played Crisis Core
>watched Advent Children (inebriated)
>played FF7 Remake
I think that's it. I guess you could count Smash 4/Ultimate as well since Cloud's in there but he doesn't have any lines or story like in those other games. Same with Theatrhythm. Always meant to play Ehrgeiz but never got around to it.

I started Final Fantasy at 10 and then never played any of the other ones
>>
I played Metal Gear Solid in reverse starting with 3. Not really by choice, when I was a teenager I just played what I could get my hands on.
>>
MGS2 was my first Metal Gear. Fun fact: If you answer that MGS2 is your first MGS then the game literally just skips Snake's tanker part entirely and goes straight to Raiden's part

I played Mother 3 on a GBA SP (I bought a fan cart on etsy), and after that I played Earthbound Beginnings on my Wii U and finally Earthbound on my n3DS. It worked out well in the end because looking back, I really saved the best for last. Earthbound was the one I ended up enjoying the most.
