Did the developer ever finish this game with 1.10 or whatever?
>>737400074Yeah I played it. I hate roguelikes so I gave up before I finished it but it is entertaining.

So what was thig game trying to tell me. Some fag liked the colour red, and then he saw the sky and it was blue and it became his new favorite colour. What the fuck is that all about?
the painting room is probably the worst part about this game.

>>737401817it represents the political sides. The mother had to right in code along with revised edits of her storybook so it makes more sense when you find her original story.
Did they add the arcade game yet?
>>737401884ill tell you how I solved the painting puzzle. I searched up staple mtg cards with the theme of being single word names around "thought" because I stopped thinking like a human and started thinking about how a developer addled by 30 years of competitive mtg would think. You and I are not the same. In case you didnt know, the developer managed mythicspoiler, a mtg resource for showing newly revealed cards as well as one of the most popular sites for it.

I rather enjoyed this game
It took me months to realise that it was a pun on 'blueprints'.
No. It's been a year and it's still at 1.6. So it's still 4 major patches away if they plan to hit every number.
>>737402810In what way?
>>737402190Same, I found the easiest one by bruteforcing ideas and then left the room for like 20 hours until I saw on the computer that the glossary entry for puzzle mentions other puzzle rooms and the gallery being connected (I also knew the first letter of every answer from reading the a certain document) so with that I figured out the second without even trying to look at the picture and for the other two I went through a list of synonyms until I could find something that worked. The pictures don't help at all.
>>737401774I don't get it, does my IQ need to be higher?
>>737401774You would think, but Simon literally becomes the Blue Prince. It's a foreshadow in a pun.
>get to Room 46 >"Congratulations, you now own the house" >figure there's more, unlock all the sigil rooms, get the secret room 46 compartment >"Congratulations, this secret will says you truly own the house" >but what about all the political shit, what happened to his mum? >get the blue throne room, get the antechamber in the outer room to lead to the shrine or whatever the fuck, decode the SECRET room puzzle, get to the fucking Atelier and solve THAT >96 hours later >"Congratulations, I am the original owner of the house, whoever finds this note DEFINITELY owns the house" I just wanted him to reunite with his mum. They should have called this game Blue Balls.
>>737413781>you super duper own the house>no, you still can't sleep inside or take the items you found
>>737413781This and Hades are a better argument against procedural generation than muh copypasted rooms ever managed to be. Even disregarding l*donarrative d*ssonance that shows up sooner rather than later, the repeated encounters format just doesn't fucking work as a plot. It's the literal embodiment of conflicting goals that conclusive stories and varied gameplay have.At least most devs know to pick a lane between artsy-fancy walky-talky stuff and autistic simulator games, but that synthesis of shit drives me up the fucking wall.
>>737414059There's nothing wrong with procedural generation inherently, the problem is that retards like the guys who made this and Hades use it as a crutch to fold paper thin content over a few times to pretend their games have volume. The goal is to piecemeal out content as slowly as possible to get people past the refund window.
>>737413781>I just wanted him to reunite with his mum. Why? You discover, step by step, that while she may have been a great author and a daring political activist, she was a fucking horrible mother and an even worse wife.Which is a great twist in and of itself. She fought against a system she deemed as corrupt, unjust, and oppressive, but herself was an emotionless, narcissistic monster.
