I don't understand the Kingdom Hearts series. Which ones are actually games and which ones are worth playing?
Play 1 blind. I don't care how you play it, but don't google shit or listen to what anyone has to say about the rest of the series. Then come back and ask again.

You COULD just play 1, 2 and 3 but you'll be confused as fuck. Just try them all, if you had the gimmick of one of the side games, just look up the synopsis and move on

If you're not in a hurry all of the playable ones are worth playing at least once. If you want to marathon them then you can skip a few to not burn out and focus on the actually good ones. I, Re:CoM, II and III are the actually good ones.

The collections also don't include the (now defunct) mobile games but do have a CG movie covering some of the story from a different perspective than the player characters>which ones are worth playingUnfortunately, ALL of them. There's no game that doesn't have important lore and story bits that pop up in future games.Also, play them in release order NOT the order on the collections. They put Days in front of KH2 and while it can be experienced that way ,it's better to go in with only the knowledge of KH1 and Re:CoM (because nothing really important to the events of KH2 happen in Days that isn't at least partially explained in CoM or KH2, while the events of Days are more important to FUTURE games like Coded, DDD and KH3).
Unless you are 13 years old, none of them. They are aimed at a younger audience. So unless you're a 'Disney adult' there isn't much point in playing them over something aimed more at your own demo.

The phone game was so bad they didn't really use any of the cutscenes or plot from it and just made their own shit. If you want to know which you can skip, just skip everything that isn't the original, 2 or 3. There's fun games besides that, but you're really getting a shittier version of something you've already played with those.

There is shit that ties into shit that ties into shit, but all of it, ALL of it, is anime flashback filler arc tier that shows you the motivations of a fucking wombat in another world 2000 years ago that indirectly lead to the formation of the Guild of Obstinate Aardvarks that has one remaining member who did a thing one time in the three main games. The one meaningful exception to this would be Chain of Memories which happens immediately between 1 and 2, but the intro of 2 tells and gets you re-involved in everything that mattered from that game.
