>Greninja is an actual Ninja
>Groundon has the palette of an actual salamander
>Kyogre has the palette of an actual Orca (and some purple idk)
>Umbreon ties its poison dex lore in with a blue ringed octopus palette.
>black sand
>Conventional flame Chandelure

Honestly it just does wonders when a shiny has an actual inspiration or theme instead of being an arbitrary clown color, which was woefully common in the earlier games (somewhat by necessity.) The black dragons/dragonoids are slick as hell too.

Usually because if it’s black it was done with some actual intention and not inverting the colors with slight adjustments. If even that. It’s crazy how objectively trash most shiny colors are when they should have been the easiest thing in the world to make them decent. How they look at something like Garchomp and don’t make something as instantly obvious like a “great white” reference and just the slightest darker tone of default color is asinine.

I consider it unacceptable to have a Froakie or any of its evolines while it isnt shiny. Best color swap in all of Pokemon
