what is with the obsession over "clicky" buttons and dpads? rubber membrane feels better 10/10 times
>>737411049>tmr>hall affect>gamesir>membrane>stick drift>mechanicalits just the new buzzwords the jews putted out their to scam
>>737411101you need help brother
>>737411049Less pretravel on a microswitch, unless the controller is set up to mimic rubber membrane pretravel in which case it's down to sound preference. I think it's harder to make a bad mechanical d-pad than a bad rubber d-pad, but Saturn is still my preference."Mechanical" is also effectively a buzzword for consumers trained to believe mechanical > membrane from keyboards.
>>737411101these are not buzzwords. you're so fucking stupid
>>737411314My issue with microswitches is (beyond the noise) that they have no "give" to them. There's something innately satisfying about pressing down *hard* on a button and having it give with a bit of a squish, rather than no response beyond the initial click.
>>737411101hope you never have children.
>>737411049>Gamesaar
>>737411049My favorites are Vita's and Series'sSo no, colicky os superior. Most people want membrane because they love with somebody and don't want to annoy them. Fags
controllers could actually benefit from Kailh Bronze switches.
>>737411049It's almost as if different strokes for different folks Ya fucken idiot
>>737411049Clicky feels better 10/10 times
>>737411919I'm surprised keyboard switches in controllers isn't a thing. Only one I know of is Sunwaytek H510, which I don't remember hearing anything good about.
I have a 3rd party switch controller from 2023 and an NES controller from 1986. I'd use the NES controller every day if I could because the soft buttons are way nicer than the harsh snap of clicky bittons
>>737411049Ironically clicky has a membrane ontop of the switch to dampen sound in my gamesaaars.I don't think clicky feels like a game changer, membrane feels better and 'good enough'. Performance wise I prefer clicky even if the difference is minor, it just feels quite stiff (especially d-pad) you can also replace the switches. With membrane you need a specific one and if it's third party they can be rare. But if you're wondering if you're missing out on switch. . . you're not. Differences are too small.
>>737411101>putted out shut up poorfag 3rdy smelly, you can't afford these premium controllers.
>>737411584Presing hard down on membranes ruins them.
>>737411049I'm looking forward to the point where we get EC keys in controllers. Mechanical is shit, membrane has dropouts.
>>737411584just use a hinge-lever microswitch then. The primary argument for microswitches is they're easier to repair and replace than carbon-coated silicone pad buttons.Silicone pads break rather easily.Microswitches late a decade and can be de-soldered and replaced easily.
