I recently replayed DDDA and it's definitely good. I know this is a hot take but I cant stand BBI. It seems like its balanced around being level 100-150 and the grind to get up there is so fucking annoying I just uninstalled, also pawns are fucking useless there they just die constantly. To this day I've never played BBI and beat any of the bosses

The Hallowed Chimera in that took me like 20 minutes to get down to its last healthbar, then it went into rage mode, started spamming spells and then promptly brined itself in the nearest body of water. But up until that point it was a pretty good fight.

>>737471671Some caveats though, While most of those are like direct improvements in my opinon, GPO is kinda a sidegrade at best, so in the base game almost all the gear is availible at shops and you spend money to buy them giving money a reason to exist, but while you explore you'll generally not find much of interest, while with GPO it moves all that gear into the chests and bosses so now they're more interesting, so now money isn't as useful, to balance that they make the upgrades cost 3x more (configurable to whatever you like in the config.lua, but 3x is the default). I played with Bestiary on my first playthrough but I also have like 500h in Dragon's Dogma 1, there were quite a few encounters that weren't 'fair' especially early on, but that's kinda what I was looking for, your mileage may vary on that one.

Any other minor tweaks you can just add along the way if you notice something bothering you. But even for those you should just check nexus yourself.
