I fucking LOVE rain
I love when it's raining, the thicker the downpour the better
I LOVE hearing thunder rumble, I LOVE it being dark mid-day because of the sheer density of the storm

You cant play vidya or use any sort of plugged electronic during a thunder storm can you? Its too risky. Whenever I hear the slightest bit of thunder irl, I immediately dive under my desk and unplug everything. Dont want any of my stuff breaking. Doesn't everyone else do this?

Death Stranding and Breath Of The Wild have rain as a literal gameplay element.

STALKER's rain and thunderstorms are legendarily moody and gorgeous, and innovated with the wet surface tech back in the day.

Majora's Mask's 2nd day is always the rainy one.

Fatal Frame 3 is famous for the "It's raining again..." line for a reason.

Rural burger here, UPS solves minor power fluctuations from our shit power lines but nothing get "fried" outside of extreme cases like literally getting a direct hit by lightning. Happened once and it literally blew a hole in our wall, busted all the windows, and melted the copper wire on one side of the house (and caught some spots on fire). Lost quite a bit.

Now I just unplug from my router if lightning starts getting too bad because the cable outside -> ethernet is the only unprotected loop i'm paranoid about and mine doesn't have a port for coax or cat5.

Modern city buildings are well secured against that, but it's a very real concern with smaller homes in the countryside. I've lost one PC and a bunch of TVs at our family's summer house, leaving them plugged in. It doesn't take much of a zap to kill them if the lines are unprotected.

Try working the vineyard being exposed as fuck when there's thunder, now that's something that made me shit myself in fear. Because your hands are connected with metal wires running through rows one bolt touching the same row as you and you're cooked.

1. Go to that pool of water right outside the Spirit Temple in the future in OoT.
2. Play the Song of Storms to make it rain.
3. Put on iron boots, run into the middle of the pool so you're just underneath the water.
4. The script that automatically stops the rain after about a minute won't complete when you're underwater, it'll keep raining forever.
5. Angle the camera up, you can watch the raindrops splashing on the surface of the water for as many hours as you like.

All it takes is wear and tear I'd wager, if the 2 slits aren't as tight as they used to be or the connector is well used in and out over many years.

Doom the Dark Ages has impressive rain technology, even though it's only in the first level.

Love the creepy atmosphere in this level. More horror games should have rain levels

>bathroom is in attic
>has the sloped ceiling and one of those velux roof windows
>during the winter months, always have a boiling hot bath when I get home
>get to look at the stars in the evening sky and listen to rain gently hit the roof, all while I chill in the bathtub

It's so fucking comfy it's unreal. I look forward to every winter so I can do this. Its amazing.
