Why would you want a Smash 6 which will likely be a reboot with less characters than Melee? I'd rather they just make Ultimate Deluxe with more singleplayer elements and trophies instead.

Ultimate isn't fun anymore. Even if annoying characters get nerfed, the game is still full of aerial spam.

I can guarantee you it's just gonna be Smash Ultimate Deluxe. Same game ported over but with more characters & content. No way they're gonna make a Smash with less characters.

Smash is one of the biggest normie games. Even if less characters + better combat is superior, people want to play as their favourite vidya character and people don't want to start from scratch.

I can see cutting some characters like Pichu, Young Link, Toon Link, Dr. Mario and Sonic. Keep in mind Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash has less playable characters than Open.
