about to start developing underwater mecha game with agile divers, big daddy like suits for walking on the bottom and big titans

it's an isometric fps inspired by titanfall

thoughts?

pipedream at best without design documents

Why? Who does this appeal to? Underwater settings are inherently niche and so is mecha.

well i just thought of it today.

to the fans of Titanfall and Depth i suppose

Is underwater setting really this unappealing?

Isometric games are garbage on principle.

make it actually fun to play before doing any of the following:
better have some good sound design because i feel like your sacrificing a lot of the fun/immersiveness of an underwater setting if its not first person
weakpoont hits wont be a bad idea
have some special death animations where enemy mechs get crushed by pressure like the oceangste sub
idk if it still counts as isometric if the camera can change sides between levels but i liked when synthetik 2 did that it added variety

It is consistently unpopular. People think it's all just water and fish and everything smeared in piss filter. Of all the games out there only Subnautica somehow made it work.
