It lets you know which type of bread will be popular that week, so you can run specific dungeons to try and optimize for big money. It's obvious AA quality, but the characters are cute and the action gameplay decent. Better than Recettear's at least.

The basic light attack, heavy attack, ranged attack spread for most isometric combat is pretty rote and more importantly, doesn't gel well with the mercantile aspect. I'm not saying it needs to be turn based, but something like Ever Oasis strikes a happier medium than Moonlighter.

Case in point, haggling. It's not too complicated but it works because the way it's presented feels natural rather than extremely gamey. You look at the few Reccetear clones out there they either ditch the mechanic completely or they try to turn it into a minigame (case in point, haggling in Potionomics is literally a card game battle).It's not complicated. "Keep it simple, stupid" as they say. Just imitate Reccetear's haggling system. If you want to add a bit more complexity, keep it within the realm of Reccetear's mechanics. For example, have it so with some characters if you're frequently too generous with offers they'll start trying to outjew you and refuse to buy shit until you either start being more adamant with your prices or they'll start trying to jew you into selling them valuable goods for pocket change.

I got filtered by the Tristia remake. You can make really good value shit with relatively easy to find dungeon materials, and even if you somehow get an abysmal drop rate, you get better and better items in chests the deeper you get into the dungeons too. You should also be playing around with the ambience (I usually make it fancy-ish which is ironic since Louie is my adventurer of choice) and upgrading your shop so you can get more space and thus have a wider selection for your customers. Using price increases to their fullest is key too, you can charge everyone double for everything at the very worst, Alouette in particular can afford nearly triple the base cost if the price is increased and she'll consider it a good deal, so if you manage to get her to buy some expensive treasure while it's expensive you'll probably clear that week's debt just with that, but you shouldn't rely on her too much, just keep it consistent and, again, CRAFT

If you want to sell late game equipment to your friends, you will have to sell it at 1% or just basically give it to them for free even if they're maxed out.3. Customers have no memory of what happened in your store previously. They won't hold grudges or have more/less money or anything like that. This poster is just making up mew under the truck level theories.4. It is fully possible to beat the game without leveling up your customers at all. In fact it's practically unnecessary.5. Selling for pin bonuses makes you level up faster but it is not that important for winning. Many people act like leveling up is a major factor to beating the game, but it really isn't. That said leveling up makes the game more fun by introducing new game mechanics, so it's worth doing, but the game is legitimately easier if you technically overprice everything.6. All this stuff about selling in the day vs selling in the night in this post is false. No one in the game cares if you're selling metaphorical "dragon dildos" (Whatever that's supposed to mean) and won't be scared off because you're selling something they don't like. The window items are literally just more likely to be bought and *might* attract customers who like those items more, that's it.
