Why did VR never become the next big thing?
>>737502831because you have to strap a heavy, expensive piece of junk to your face in order to use it
How many times have you made this thread?
>>737502915Anonymous would never start similar threads, stop talking nonsense
I never really wanted to be IN the game.
>>737502831You want the full rundown?>jews (Zuckerberg bough Oculus)>Requires a reasonably large room>Moving without short range teleports makes a lot of people nauseus>Object strapped to face always eventually becomes uncomfortable >Batteries>Requires additional tracking hardware to really do right But the real reason is>Nintendo has only done a cardboard version with a 720p device
>>737502831Unironically because Meta bought it's way to monopoly status. Fuck that guy, seriously.
Jesus made a VR it’s called dreaming. We dont lose our connection to him while we’re asleep, and he can continue speaking to us with telepathy. He actually uses this to hypnotize us, and create our dreams via hypnosis. Hes a pretty powerful god but just makes it look like hes weak because we dont orgasm. Because he likes us better when we dont orgasm. Or something, so I dont know the full reason why I dont orgasm. I don’t orgasm.
>>737502831the unit with the most accessible price point requires a facebook account
It doesn't have anything fun except for Beat Saber. It might be worthwhile for people who want to prey on teenagers in Vr chat but let's be serious, those are just 30 year olds larping as teens.
>>737503402one time he stuck his ring finger in my ear while i was sleeping and i dreamed about a secret sonic game for the genesis that only i knew about. he knew about it too of course. I didn't get to play it i just saw the cartridge.
>>737502831Because they can't figure out how motion should work in game that it feels natural. That is the one million dollar question.>How can we get rid of motion sickness by making the player move in a natural fashion while not having what amounts to a basketball court in size? The omni directional treadmill is only a half way point. It still takes up too much space, makes too much noise, costs too much AND has a chance of breaking. They want the device to be able to pick up and play. Basically, we started at the wrong end. VR is still too young and we needed a lot of other tech first before even thinking about it. Even Neuralink is still too much of an ask. BME aren't quite there yet because everyones brains are different and it takes time for software to know how to interpret brain signals. Even then, it still won't solve the motion sickness issue for most people, because even if they are thinking "I'm moving." the body still doesn't like that it sees you moving while not moving. It just gets rid of the controller issue and we could possibly slim down the headset more because we could remove the cameras and the tracking bay stations.
