Eh. I got around 6 hours in but still felt like I hadn't gotten past the tutorial so I just got bored and gave up. Kind of want to try it again for the waifus, but I also remember those first 6 hours being pretty painful.I know Persona is a marathon but damn. P4 also suffered a lot from this, by the time you starting actually getting to the good parts you are already burned out by the never-ending tutorial/setup. I don't know why, but P3 has a much stronger start and kind of hooks you right away in a way 4 and 5 doesn't.

If you have zero tolerance for the VN side you'll hate the game, if you're able to find it somewhat enjoyable as a breather between dungeon crawling sections you'll have a good time, if you love both aspects of the game it'll be a top 10 all time. Only you know what your sticking point is.

I've been replaying P5R so I figured this is a good thread to ask, does the arcana bonus make a real difference when doing confidants?I try to keep a good spread of personae but whoever I'm talking to always seems to be the one I don't have, and having to go to the Velvet Room to summon some garbage is annoying.

>>737528108If you like 4 niggas in a row games, there's no reason to skip the Persona series. The battle mechanics are fun, the dungeons can be a slog, but P5 resolves a lot of those issues. The most stressful part for me is time management. The game has a mechanic that allows you only a few daily tasks before the calendar day passes, and you only have a certain amount of days before an important story event happens. So you have to plan your side quest activities properly.
