He's constantly overexplaining things, butting in to cut cosmo off, and trying to explain things in a super narcicisstic way. When describing glitches, it was always "we" found this, "all of us" worked on this route, "I was part of the group" that did xyz. But when cosmo made a mistake, mirrored would immediately chime in and chastise cosmo for fucking up, just being a genuine douchebag.This went on for hours before cosmo finally had his own "I'd really prefer if you'd be quiet" moment, albeit not as controversial as the cavemandcj one. I was in the thread live as it was happening and every single person wanted mirrored to fuck off. I remember after this run, mirrored caught on that all of chat hated him so he just stuck in the back for the rest of the event.

Huge amounts of bureaucratic bullshit and red tape behind the scenes.Complete dissolution of the founding org (SDA) and the founder quitting the community (jewyama).Between 2014-2017 there was a big shift and most of the community moved to speedrunslive, owned by cosmo, and we all know what happened to cosmo, which left the community basically in ingroups on discord, where all discussion on what games should be allowed, WHO should be allowed, what setups, etc etc all took place. This left a lot of people feeling alienated, plus there were a lot more inclusions of non-speedruns. things like tetris (cool the first time, boring and repetitive every single time after cause it was always the same like 4 dudes) and novelty runs (playing games on ddr mats and shit). It stopped being about speedruns, and started being all about the charity, the speedruns were just a vehicle for donations instead of the speedruns being a community event, with a good cause tacked on.Basically the same thing that happens everywhere. Greed and money.

Cosmo was giga annoyed, and then somebody donated for mirrored to whistle the molgera fight theme on top of it.After this, Cosmo kinda winded down on Wind Waker, and lost his WR. At the time he was THE WW guy, as much as siglemic was the SM64 guy. So Cosmo fucked off to OoT wrong warp hell, which got him with the town's bicycle, which got him to troon out, which then spread to the entire community.

I watched him back before SRL, before GDQ got super popular, when to watch him you'd have to look for the stream tracker hidden in a corner of GDQ's website since justin.tv was just starting out and wasn't organized. My favorite stream I ever watched of him was when he just graduated college and was streaming to maybe 50, 100 people. Just having a few drinks, playing some OoT, talking about his life and future prospects, reminiscing on old OoT community members like SwordlessLink, YajutaElder...fuck it's been a while. It's always sobering that he was a bright kid with a future ahead of him until he got poisoned by speedrunning and ultimately the troon menace.
