Is this any good?
>>737516954It's just womanslop like every other atelier game.
more terrible live service slop
>>737516954I liked it, but it's the least similar to previous Atelier games.
>>737516954Yumia is a cutie patootie
>>737516954its okay. the open world is an interesting concept but i feel is done really poorly compared to what firis did. You basically have to do everything in a region to unlock more exploration tools, its very confusing as a design.its also the easiest game to get broken in, I built items in the second region that carried me all the way to the end. I think i cared most about the characters here, i actually felt things for most of the characters. its the darkest entry with relation to the story for sure. it has some genuine good moments story wise. really all the faults of this game fall into how easy it is to break and the open world really having forced exploration to unlock tools. it also has a very confusing base building mechanic. you can build tons of bases but there is really no point to build more than one.
>>737516954It's alright. Now play Ayesha!
>>737516954It's okay. The base-building is nowhere near as fun as they tried to convince you it would be. The crafting autism this time is nanoscopic-brain-tier. I've got a lot of complaints that I'm just... somehow okay with.
>>737517102how is this live service, anon
>>737516954Yumia's biggest sin is being piss easy. i put off learning all the mechanics because i figured i didn't need them yet and then the game ended with a multi stage final bossfight i was never even close to losing and still not using half the mechanics. pretty comfy tho, Lenja's cute and while playing the latest one i was thinking back and wishing i was playing Yumia again.
the perennial Atelier cycle>this game's ok i guess but now that i'm thinking back on the last one... good times.>this game's ok i guess but now that i'm thinking back on the last one... good times.>this game's ok i guess but now that i'm thinking back on the last one... good times.>this game's ok i guess but now that i'm thinking back on the last one... good times.just keeps slipping and losing points i guess
Post her gooey butt baking dat bread NAO
It is an empty shell of a game with no redeeming qualities. It provides no marginal value of 'fun' compared to simply booting up solitaire from the start menu.
>>737516954It's low tier Ubislop and you can't even look up her skirt. What's the fucking point
>>737519035ryza still isn't good, even if it's better than yumia
>>737518176ignore that anon he's a seething gachafag
>>737521036Ryza's Jacketless outfit + Bright red booty shorts hard carried the entire trilogy for me, I'm not ashamed to admit it.
let me guess:>character designs censored or perhaps even designed from the ground up to have nothing worth censoring>ATB combat or full action RPG gameplay instead of turn-based>optional endgame content that's actually remotely challenging is all DLC for extra cost>safe humor instead of high impact sexual violenceand, of course>no time limitsAm I right?
>>737516954It was alright
I have not played this game but I look upon it fondly because of the time it had a collaboration with Tekken 8 and for their part of the collab, Koei Tecmo went out of their way to make a new outfit, a new little Heihachi mini boss fight and a new quest. Meanwhile, all Bandai Namco could muster themselves to do on their end of the collaboration was a strand of hair you could put on characters, and that was it. Anything that embarrasses Bandai Namco is good in my eyes.
It wanted to be an open world action adventure but limited itself to a regular JRPG but the overworld is big and you can jump over stuff. It really should have committed to being more like Zelda or Genshin if it wanted to go that route, especially since environmental elemental reactions would have added a lot to the experience.
>>737516954I mean the others sucked, and you're asking if this one is any better?
Yumia a cute!
Your average Ryza game>Walk 10 steps>screen fades to black>in-game cutscene starts but the camera is at an angle so it needed a fade in loading screen obviously>"HEY REMEMBA DA TIME WE DID DA THING TOGETHER LIKE FRENDS?!?">fades to black>walk across the town>game fades to black>in-game cutscene but the camera is at an angle again>"HEY REMEMBA DA TIME-">skip cutscene>make it to the next marker on the map>fade to black>Alt+F4GREAT GAME BRO. IF I WANTED A FAMILY GUY SIMULATOR, I WOULD HAVE JUST WATCHED THAT SHOW INSTEAD
>>737522067Listen it was like a year between each game some of us needed the refresher
post more yumia pls
>>737521047the gacha wasn't great but Resna was a Sophie-tier Atelier especially in a sweater
>>737524304I'm talking about gachafags like genshinfags they have been seething at atelier yumia for some retarded reason
>>737516954It looks like it sold but I rarely see people talk about it.
>>737527367not much to talk about other then i want to impregnate lenja.
>>737527367it had good launch sales but then sales dropped off
WHERE THE FUCK IS MANA-KHEMIA 3
>>737519035I do this in every game. I'll encounter a mechanic reminiscent of another game and just end up booting it. Doesn't help that I have tons of games installed on many drives.
As a gust autist that has played every translated title here's my mini review.World building - A : Not as good as dusk but better than Ryza and has a lot of neat ideas and concepts introduced right out the gate.Story - A : Easily one of the best stories as far as Atelier games go since most don't even bother to have one. But this also all depends on how much you care about the setting and world building they established. Not a great story as far as jrpgs go but for Atelier it's good.Characters - A : It's a pretty small roster but I feel that they were utilized much better than how they were in previous Atelier series and especially Ryza. Lenja is exceptionally cute.Alchemy - F : Gust didn't even bother to play test the game. Alchemy is incredibly braindead and broken. Some of the issues are ironed out in the post launch difficulties but the core mechanics of alchemy in Yumia are just badCombat - C : Much better than Ryza but gust's style of ATB is ass and is ultimately pretty bad as far as jrpgs go.Art Direction - A : The zones are all pretty unique with tons of vistas and pretty set pieces. It's serviceable enough as far as open world games go but gust wasn't really known for great level design in the first place. Music - B : Mostly forgettable tracks but there's a few standouts and still very serviceable as far as jrpgs go. This is my favorite track in the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAvJJUosMbU&Overall Yumia is a divisive and mixed game but it's within the top 5 of my favorite Atelier games due to the exploration and world building / story.
>>737519035Atelier didn't become good until Sophie.
Yumia was ok.Resleriana(the one that isn't a gacha) is actually very good tho
>>737528665i like lenja a lot, but like i actually cringed irl when her ultimate gives her the le quirky scary smile and manacle laughter. no clue why this is such a common anime trope, its so lame. she is still tons of fun to use
>>737516954Combat and alchemy was shit but everything else was okay to great
>>737527367The chick with the big boobs sure had big boobs
>>737529438It's because she goes feral.
>>737530489I can fix her
I'm pirating Rorona from a dead torrent at 10kbps. See you guys next week!
>>737530489Keysblade
>>737530489homina homina
>>737516954I pirated it with all the DLC. Its barely serviceable BUT the base building is fun. Thats why I played it. Oh and synthesis is busted and easy - I cranked the difficulty to ultra nightmare or some shit (game has way too many sliders) and with just a few S+ gear was sweeping everything.
>>737531869she doesn't need fixing.
>>737535664
>>737516954I actually tried it because /v/ keeps saying atelier games are good but it was just shitThe thighs were decent thouever
>>737516954No. Combat is somehow shallow but also overwhelming. Alchemy system is a mess, I dont understand it at all. Game is also very ugly. Tapped out around 10 hours in, major buyers remorse.I gave Atelier one final chance but this isnt Atelier. Im done unless they give us a good combat system + alchemy, and/or they bring back cute designs like Totori again
>>737536004You can tell that they wanted it to be like botw but at the same time still keep it like the previous games but it failed miserably
>>737516954Nah, full of open world nonsense, alchemy has been seriously downgraded in importance and even by atelier standards a totally forgettable story.
>>737516954I'm pretty sure anons were saying alchemy is completely busted and all fights end under 1 second.
>god tier designs>mid gameplayAtelier games...
>>737536597>Alchemy system is a mess, I dont understand it at all. It's actually stupidly simple. You put in the item that makes a big circle. That's it. The circles overlap the nodes and mana crystals, and that's how you get all the upgrades and increase the quality. Later game alchemy can involve actually trying to make those intermediate items since they can increase stats, but as far as getting things to exist it's just big circle. It's made even easier when you unlock the ability to duplicate items: it's free, it just takes time.
>>737537514dont forget all the stupid bullshit duping with the building items. yumia was so busted, i'm glad they are taking an extra year for yumia 2.
Just finished Elie but was locked out of the best ending by retarded design>game encourages you to stop in and talk to characters regularly as they might give you a new recipe/quest>but talking to the nun too much early in the game will arbitrarily prevent you picking the correct option in a conversation>helping the academy shopkeep in exchange for money is the wrong option even though it has absolutely zero ties with MarieI still enjoyed it but what the hell were they thinking?
>>737540615marie was similar too, its inspired by old sim games like princess maker with really stupid ending triggers. That shit design carried all the way up until dusk with ayesha having stupid missable triggers.
>>737516954Does it have any actually fan servicey scenes like the Dusk trilogy had? I don't care how hot the character designs are if none of the characters even know what sex is; Ryza was completely free of eroticism
>>737516954If Gust goes under this game will be the reason why along with Resleri
Say what you want about the mysterious series but they will always be the most UNIQUE and most FUN alchemy system Atelier has to offer! BRING BACK MYSTERIOUS SYNTHESIS!!
When is the next Atelier? The last one was crap.
I boughted…
>>737521086There is no endgame lol
>>737516954It completely destroys the series for good. No more new game. What do you think?
