Ultimately it does indeed feel very much like home returning after 20+ years. Feels good. Still extremely new though, just barely into the 50s and so much more to see and learn and try. Almost every day now I'm seeing something new which is also really neat like yesterday was this gigantic ass floating fortress called Giant's castle or something. It was cool to get there.and now /blogpost donesorry couldn't help myself, just really enjoying getting back into this game in such a old classic state and going well further than I ever have before

I hadnt gone back for the longest but all the aesthetics and settings and of course character design of the game kept it in my mind all these years. I finally decided to go back earlier this year and now I'm actually a BD and about to get my best dances. It's quite a feeling almost like righting old wrongs or getting closure. >>737520874On the server I'm on, Reborn Signature there is no dual clienting or bots allowed and though there's probably some people finding exploits or loopholes for the most part it's caused a necessity to party play and be social. I mean it is an MMO after all. If you do want to solo/have nobody to play with then you can still do it by paying buffers because there's no npc buffer either. Oh and of course there's pay to win cash shop either, just some cosmetics or name changers. The whole experience feels so pure
I never played another MMO with the sense of adventure L2 had, despite the grind. Maybe Guild Wars 1 and LOTRO. But Aion and TERA were terrible imo.

>>737521065Yeah the map is so big and sprawling and I find it neat that monsters esp aggro monsters usually don't go near the roads so you can still go from town to town or place to place without too much danger as long as you stick to the roads. And the fact that you have to pay to teleport to places sometimes makes you want to take the scenic route. At least for me it does cause I'm not filthy rich.

People really don't understand how big Lineage 2 was. According to Google, "in March 2005, Lineage 2 reached a peak of over 2.1 million monthly active subscribers worldwide. Therefore the only mmorpg that could have rivaled World of Warcraft toe to toe .Imagine what could have happened if we had supported this game back in the 2000s, by PAYING for the entertainment provided, instead of ruining the franchise by supporting private servers? The game would never have become free to play, and we could be playing Lineage 4 right now...
