I'm genuinely depressed now that the beta is over. This was such a fucking special thing and I'm so glad I was able to turn off my normally pessimistic, 4chan rotted brain and just rewind back to 2006 and enjoy this experience. I feel bad for people that didn't get a key and didn't have the opportunity to do the same. Regardless of whatever direction the game goes from here, I can say that Inkwell's team was 100% able to recapture that old-school feel during this beta and it was entirely based on how the players were encouraged to interact with each other through changes made to the game's balance. Whether at launch or during another beta test I encourage others from here to leave /v/ and 4chan here and instead approach the game like you did when you first played it.

Pets are one thing that once you experience them you can't go back unless maybe you reach a point where you don't need to pick up mesos or drops outside of big money rare drops.

I just thought it would be funny if they sent out the beta rewards in a similar manner, but also realised this means they would be sold on ebay so it doesn't make sense.Saying that it doesn't really make sense how did they think this sign up system was a good idea in the first place, but spilt milk and all that.
I feel like maple is just too simple and grindy, it'll be fun for a while but nostalgia only lasts so long and I doubt new people will hit a wall around 30-50 quit or nexon will just repeat the updates that turned maple into what it is now.

The vertical hitbox(downwards) for projectiles is also off and you can barely hit anything below you. Bow whacking got introduced back into the game so you do need to reach mid fourties to get maxed Power Knockback to help you have some control. Arrow bomb is also not really working properly in terms of hitbox or something.They seem to be solid as long as those issues are fixed which they most likely will be all fixed. You do have to be more careful aswell due to the i-frame being shorter now so if an enemy spawns on top of you or you try to avoid it, you can take a lot more damage. Might be fixed aswell, have to see what they do.
