It's time to upgrade to OLED, the little alien has confirmed it.
>>
I will now buy your monitor
>>
>2026
>not using an IPS with Pulsar
>>
I bought an S95D, OLED is definitely worth it. Just annoyed about the bleed-in

Why would I use a shitty failed technology?
IPS is perfect already.

mini led for desk and oled for living room and bed room. I dont think ill ever upgrade my screens as long as i live now.
>>
>>737522821
I have an oled but I want a 4k pulsar monitor too desu
>>
>burn-in
>backlight flicker
I don't think I will.
>>
>>737522972
>buy oled
>maximum contrast
>maximum brightness
>use light mode
>burn in
>put screen in front of solar panel
>infinite energy
>>
>>737522821
CRTs handle it the best. Maybe it's time to downgrade.
>>
CRT was made complete irrelevant by VRR.

>buy LCD monitor
>never have to worry about burn-in ever

I'll upgrade once microLED becomes a thing
>>
>>737524338
I really wonder if an oled with extreme burn in would charge a solar panel. Shit might be an insane hack.
>>
>>737522821
OLED pixel response is truly next gen stuff. It makes me appreciate AAA games again because they're not a ghosty mess from framegen or low fps.
>>
>>737522821
>leave this little alien sitting on my monitor for 3 hours
>get to see him for the rest of my life
cool :D
>>
>>737524514
The thing they really handle well is giving you tinnitus
>>
>>737525010
I would bet new tech like headphones with noise cancellation have given more problems to society.
>>
are oleds really so much better than a mini led? the burn in factor seems pretty big
>>
I wish I bought miniLED instead of OLED. The HDR on these things is shit.
>>
>>737524338
>it's fine just jump through all those hoops and maybe it won't get fucked up
yeah, no
>>
>>737526060
Did you even read the post you dumbass
>>
>>737522972
>IPS is perfect already.
Literally the worst display technology even CRT mog it
>>
>>737524684
>i am pissing and shitting myself about spending too much on an oled
>so instead i'll choose to stare at a shittier monitor during the best years of my life only to not buy a microled because it'd cost more than a lifetime supply of oleds
>>
shitty planned obsolescence burn in screens are NOT a fucking upgrade to anything.
>>
>>737528716
what monitor are you using?
>>
>>737528808
A nice 1080p asus touchscreen. its fucking perfect. It's lasted 6 years. zero issues.
1440p would be nice (barely noticible upgrade) but 4k is a meme that makes zero difference.
OLED is burn in trash sold to fools dumb enough to be convinced to part with their money repeatedly.
Most monitors are a fucking scam. Just buy a decnt one and you'll never notice the difference.
Those who say otherwise are shills trying to sell you bullshit you dont fucking need.
>>
All oleds use PWM, had to throw a monitor out because it makes me eyes look and feel like they're bleeding, it's so much better now that I'm using a DC monitor

Oled is shit tech that gets astroturfed by poojoos all day, don't buy it let them starve
>>
>>737522821
>ruins every movie in its way
>>
>>737529085
Just say you don't actually understand monitors instead of coping like that
You're repeating memes about oleds while you understand nothing
>>
>>737522821
Soon enough LCD will be like this too
Field Sequential Color Ferroelectric LCDs are as fast as OLEDs or even faster

Of course the contrast won't be as good(unless they find a way to make it dual layer) but as far as motion goes it will be as good or better than OLED and it will be at a fraction of the price of OLED because LCDs are much cheaper to manufacture
