Have they redeemed themselves?
No.When they release an RPG/immersive sim where your origin matters, you can play as a corpo (that stays a corpo) and the world reacts to your actions then they will have redeemed themselves in my eyes. Polishing up a broken promise is still not keeping the promise.
shouldn't have lied to begin with
they included a neat little easter egg where the number in the title is the year the game will be worth playing
>>737525074Moving past the broken promises, I also just don't find the final product that fun as its own thing.
>>737525074>>737525118>>737525135I think it's one of the best games ever made, the story, the missions, fun gameplay and decent build variety. But it's the story that gets to me especially with the DLC Now you say why you think it's bad
becca redeemed them
>>737525196BLAST HAVERS BLOWING CHUDDAS OUT OF THE WATERTRUE RETURN TO FORM, LIGHTING IN A BOTTLE!
>>737524984No. Cp2077 is still boring if you actually play the game and move beyond the rtx path tracing fsr dlss framegen benchmarking shut, but normgroids would still glaze over this product because rain puddles, shiny cars, darker shadow, lighter lamps, etc
>>737524984>no 3rd person cameraNope
>>737525196Because of false advertising.
>>737524984DO NOT REDEEM SAAAR
>>737524984What did they do to redeem themselves?Everyone hated the game, then the anime released and then suddenly every shitter started saying that the game was always good. You niggers already tricked me into playing The Witcher 3.
>>737524984it's ok. if you're yearning for a singleplayer openworld RPG in the setting you'll probably have some fun. the story is stupid. the world is ok. the gameplay mechanics are such that no matter what your build is by the mid game you're an unstoppable force. it has hella mods if you're into that.
>>737524984>redeemedThat'd depend entirely on what your criteria for them redeeming themselves are.
>>737524984We'll see when they make CP2.
>>737524984Without path tracing, it's impossible to display purple light or grease properly. Since CP2077 is nothing but purple light and grease, it's the most beautiful game ever (despite not having one attractive woman in it).>but what about American Airlines?Fuck you.
>>737524984no the game is still shit and cdpr outed themselves as sellouts
It's 7/10 at best.
I kept hearing shit months back that it got "engoodened".What did they actually change? Is it actually a good game now or is it the same shit game they released but with less bugs and more polish?
>>737526376fpbp
>>737524984No. 2.0 made it worse, we have to go back.
>>737531907Bugs are more or less the same, they were never really that bad -- just standard eurojank levels. (Some retard is gonna link a video of a car going off into space as though that's not standard eurojank.)What really stood in the way of the game were busted mechanics like the police materializing out of nowhere and car fights only being able to happen in scripted cutscenes that only gave you the illusion of participation, the same thing going for chase missions. They fixed all that, so it actually plays like a game without a hundred shortcuts brushed under the rug. But some of it didn't track well -- the car combat for example too often feels like just getting DoT'd to death out of nowhere because the audio isn't mixed for it and the UI doesn't really support it the way it ought to. There are fewer bugs that arise from these mechanical shortcuts as a result. The game also added a bunch of quality of life things like arcade games you can play, a tram you can ride as a sort of quick travel (invalidated by the actual quick travel, though) and retooled the skill tree so that it's actually possible to change the gameplay with you build before the last hour of the game. The game still suffers from weird TTK issues at the higher difficulties that make you feel weak at mid-to-close range unless you abuse slowing time or spec all the way into armor and regen abilities. It feels less fun and more like praying you react quickly enough to the single pixel of a gun around a corner that kills you in less than 2 seconds. Overall I'd put it about on par with Sleeping Dogs. There's a lot you're gonna have to forgive, but if you try really hard you can immerse yourself in the world and that's worth it in and of itself.
No, abosultely fucking not, why is it that you can get away with almost anything in the game industry if you just toss some free shit at people or do the bare minimum of revoming the problem people have? Like why the fuck does anyone who gets fucked over by a company who sells them a broken product which was falesly advertised suddenly not care about any of that because the game now plays better.
>never get into the hype train>didn't even know it was based on a board game>don't know why juan metal faphand hates fridge mc killdeath>only learn of it from glitches compilations>get it at a steep discount >find it pretty fun
>>737524984Thats dlc bait to make you spend 40
>>737524984I played it twice and liked it well enough. Probably won't touch it again though.
>>737524984I didn't get to finish it, but one major problem I found was itemization. Finding better gear or getting upgrades isn't remotely interesting and I played enough of the game to realize the progression is busted. It's not really good as an RPG game, but if you go into the mindset you're playing a cyberpunk GTA with lots of different toys to use in combat, then you'll probably a great time. I love the aesthetic of the game too, just the feeling of getting into a car and driving in first-person is easily one of the most immersive things I've experienced in an open world game.
I'm having fun, just found the troonmobile
>>737534562>ClaireThat's a fat girl's name.
>>737531907They rebalanced the skill tree and the cyberwareThat's it
>>737533590The DLC is worth it though. I was one of those people that didn't even bother to play the game until last year because I was so disappointed it wasn't the RPG I hoped it'd be but I've put over 600 hours into it since I started. Completed one playthru as female Corpo V, started a new one as male Nomad V and playing thru Phantom Liberty again right now. I never buy games at full price, I usually refuse to buy games unless they're on sale for like $5 but I actually spent $40 on the Ultimate Edition and shockingly actually got my money's worth.
>>737533590OH NOOORINO, 17 DOLLARS MORE! I'M LITERALLY GONNA STARVE!!!!!!!!
>>737535465Do you realize how many British Pesos that is?
Played it when it first came out and it was buggier than the underside of a rock. Apparently they've fixed it but I haven't gone back, releasing something in that state is ridiculous. This was the PC version too, not that PS4 shitshow they called a video game. Also they lied out the ass about what the game was going to be. The game I originally got excited for never existed and CDPR tried to sweep it under the rug.
>>737524984The prologue being reduced down to a montage ruined it for me. You don't get to build those connections yourself. You're just given them. Took me out of the experience, so I took my money back.
>>737535585>>737525074its funny how impossible an immersive sim is at this level of budgetwe're talking about people needing to ACCEPT using tech that wasnt there, AI learning language etc, to not only voice characters, but react to whatever people are sayinganyone knows that modern scripting language isnt there for any of your imaginations
>>737524984Not really. It went from broken dogshit on launch to just being mediocre with the 2.0 patchPL was mostly okay
