I've always been critical of the remake, but If you haven't played the original I can't blame you for liking it. Underneath all the changes they made its fundamentally the same game. Its just a diminished experience that drifts too far from Fromsoft's original vision in terms of art and music. If you ever get the chance to play the original you should.
