Mario 3 (atleast the NES original) feels like a battle of endurance and strategy. If you want to 100% and beat every level of Mario 3, you really need to manage your inventory well. No saves either, so it's a much harder run to the end. Mario World instead takes an open approach. This can be cool just playing the game casually, but to 100% you are required to replay entire levels sometimes. Some of these secret exists are also extremely cryptic, which is simply not fun (atleast have even the smallest hint of where an exit might be). The cape in world is fun, but also busted. You can skip entire levels that makes a normal playthrough trivial. World does have tighter controls, but Mario 3 really isn't far off.

>>737580084I only came in this thread to say that SMW is my favorite Mario game of all time. 2 is a close second. 3 is overrated. It's the FF7 of Mario games. This is objective fact, cope however you need to with this truth.
Cool setup OP. I have a CRT but ironically am playing World on a Miyoo Mini+.
>>737580795Thanks anon. A friend of mine gifted it to me about over a year ago. It's been really cool to play these retro games just like they did in the 80's and 90's.
>>737580084How do you get a clean signal from RF?
