>>737580696Because its kinda hard to make a game based off the Gundam franchise. Gundam goes through different stories and interpretations like a woman changes clothes: a lot. Lets say Gundam makes a FOTM show for 2026. Game devs want to cash in. In order to pump out a game to cash in on the relevancy, its not going to be a good, in depth game is it? No it will not. If you wanted to make a mechanically in depth game then you're looking at using previous stories and seasons, at which by that time those series relevancies have lapsed in the general public's mind.

UC even has more relevance in the West compared to the other universes, I just watched Ready Player One and was very surprised to see the RX-78-2 instead of something like Wing Zero or whatever was the most recent series at the time.
